Looking at the final bracket results I see the team STMA beat, Carolina Hurricanes, in the first round of the sweet 16 won the Con. bracket beating Minnetonka. STMA played without their top scorer who was out of the tournament after the second game. Both EP and STMA deserved to be in the final and E...

How did STMA handle the goalie situation in the semi final and final? Did the coach split them both games or did they each get a game? I'll bet he split them. Congrats to EP I hear they rode on #16's back most of the tournament.

Two very big surprises to me are why the host Flyers want to play Wayzata in the first round and Osseo/Maple Grove and Jefferson maybe in the second round. I thought that there are alot of non Minnesota teams in the A bracket this year. Are any going to challenge the MN teams?

The Buffalo coach was complaining to the refs and whining about the calls, now that is our Minnesota Hockey coach in chief you are talking about. I hope the rest of the coaches are watching him and following his example.

Congrats to Monti for getting a goal. According to STMA website they have scored 53 goals and given up only 2 in the 8 district games they played. I hope they pick up the tougher teams before Fargo.

Andover will have a hard time if they get to the semifinal game. The more experience of Duluth and Elk River and Grand Rapids make them the favorite. Them 3 coaches know what it takes, Andover is a rookie and will fold quickly. Sorry huskies

Andover has nothing to loss, this game is more important to East. I say East by 3 goals 5-2.

Wayzata and STMA never scrimmaged. They had a practice together and did skills and full ice drills. STMA assistant coach said they were missing 4 players due to concert at school. That being said both Wayzata and STMA are very good. Good Luck in Fargo

A shootout is a quick way to reach a conclusion to a game, so the rest of the tournament games do not get behind. I forgot that all you care about is winning or losing. Tell a 10yr old goalie he is a loser after his team doesn't win the shootout. The game ended in a tie and a shootout was needed to ...

In the MSHSL rule book they declare a tie on both teams record. The shootout is a way to determine who advances in the bracket play of a tournament.

Got to see some games yesterday. I think ER and EP will prevail. ER is quick up and down the ice. EP is big and uses the body well for squirts. Very good games so far.

The problem FSN had this year is that they watered down the games and tried to get too many weaker teams on them. Too many high school coaches were pulling strings just to get their team on TV. I will not name names but just look at the teams. I hope they cut back and just do a few top ranked teams....

Thanks offside 14 for helping me figure you out. Your head coach showed alot of class with your goalies in the Hopkins tournament by spliting them in the championship game against Elk River, he also rolled 3 lines. I did not see the EP championship as to if he split them again.

I didn't get to the championship game because of other commitments but I did see the rosters earlier in the day. Tell me this, how can STMA have 14 skaters and 2 goalies who split equal, and Minnetonka can only roster 13 skaters and 2 goalies, one seeing most of the action. Shame on a large program ...

InigoMontoya are you a squirt expert or what? Your call on STMA hit it on the head. I just watched 4 great squirt teams in the EP tournament. Minnetonka pulled out the win in overtime over EP and STMA won 3-1 over Osseo/Maple Grove. Final tonight #2 seed STMA-vs-wildcard Minnetonka. Minnetonka tied ...

In the Eden Praire Tournament it looks like the Pool with Jefferson, STMA, Waconia, and Roseau is stacked. Roseau has been blowing teams away this year up north and may surprise a few people. I think the wild card comes out of this pool, along with Minnetonka and Eden Praire. I will catch the games ...
