Tied 3-3 and Hermantown won 4-2, both games in December. Cloquet won 3-2 last night on a goal with about a minute and a half left. Congrats to them, they played a great game.old goalie85 wrote:What were the results in other games between H-Town and Cloquet this year. I see they have pee wee A going to state. Congrats to luberjack town.
Hermantown finishes the year with a record of 25-3-5, everyone contributed, everyone played equal minutes, and everyone had fun, especially the parents.

See thread "should squirt be done after fargo" I wouldn't put much stock into these games one way or another at the end of the season. Orno doesn't have much from what I saw.High Off The Glass wrote:District tourney
Orono 4
Wayzata 2
Is this score correct? What in the world is going on over there in Wayzata Squirts? Someone let me know how this program has gone so far down hill so fast?

From what I saw this year they had as much talent as any team but had a young inexperienced coach and that really hurt them. With an experienced coach like some of the other top squirt teams (Elk River, STMA, Lakeville South) they probably would have been tough to beat.

Really ? so the kids are phoning it in because its not Fargo and "only" the district playoffs playing teams they have a rivalry with ? Not sure but I would guess a kid who likes hockey would still have some fire ... I know mine is already asking when summer hockey begins. He's not an "elite" player just one who likes to play.dogeatdog1 wrote:See thread "should squirt be done after fargo" I wouldn't put much stock into these games one way or another at the end of the season. Mounds View with a shoot-out win over Forest Lake. Way to go District 2. One five min. [running time] over time period then to the shootout!! Congrats to M.V. Shame on district 2. D2 leadership should take a long look at themselves and policys. I would think they would have plenty of $$ after all the fines they try to impose on TEAMS , Coaches, Assoc. to at least play stop time in overtime. [Old Goalies HATE shootouts!!!]

Quit crying about the format & focus on things you have control over. Win the game in regulation & this wouldn't be an issue.old goalie85 wrote:Mounds View with a shoot-out win over Forest Lake.
