So Sect. 3A season is pretty much over and they seed tomorrow. So how do all you prognosticators see things shaking out?

Re: The Argy Bargy 3A Thread 2018-2019
Game should have never gone to OT. Hutch had a goal disallowed in the 3rd after a Marshall player crosschecked a hutch forward into the Marshall goalie. Goal disallowed for goalie interference. Goal should have counted. Guess what goes around comes around. Get over it Edger.

Don't they seed the top 5 and the last three are 'random" draw?

notTonight you've got to remember these are HS kids. You never know who is going to show up. I was not at the Luverne game. Shots in the Orono game were very even. Actually Hutch had the better opportunities in my opinion and the Orono goalie kept it a one goal game. Hutch played fairly physical and...

Orono vs Hutch was a very good game. Up and down with both teams getting good chances. Some very good goaltending by two sophomore goaltenders. The rematch comes next week in Orono on the big ice. The best part if the game was the refreshing attitude of Orono coach Mark Parrish. He was always positi...

What I would prefer is what I saw classy Greg Trebil coached Holy Angels teams do many times. They would get their 7,8,9 goal lead and then start to dump the puck in the offensive zone, one man forecheck, let the team break it out, trap them in neutral ice and dump it in again. Never did a Greg Treb...

Boy now that 3A is down to the final two combatants nervousness must be really setting in on both sides. The 3A banter has come to a very slow crawl. Where has all the chirping gone fellas. Tough to chirp when you can't even get enough saliva to spit. Good luck to both teams, but I'm going to throw ...

Coach Openings
I would like to toss the name of John Rothstein out there as a possible replacement for the head coaching position in Grand Rapids. He has the coaching experience and the respect of the hockey community in GR. Any other names being tossed around?

The recent rule changes that have been made in the name of speeding up the game can be partially blamed for some of the injuries that have occurred. There was a time when you could slow a fore checker down by impeding his progress into the zone without penalty unless you totally interfered with him ...

AA Tourney Tickets
I have had my tickets for about 6 years. The first year my tickets were 2 rows of the ice buried in a corner. The next year I was asked about an upgrade and got tickets right behind the net on the Club Level. In my opinion the Club Level is the best place to watch games from. This year I have asked ...

Class "A" Tourney
I think the Class "A" tourney will be very exciting. Maybe even better then the "AA" Tourney. 7 of the top 10 ranked Class "A"teams are in the tourney. Even the quarterfinal matchups could be really good other then Breck vs. New Ulm game. Some of the "A" teams...

A real sleeper is Zak Swenson from Hutchinson. He carried the Tigers through the playoffs last year and was outstanding in the state tournament against some very tough competition. He has carried the Tigers so far this year as well. The Tigers don't get a lot of press so just keep watching his numbe...

Three years ago I put my name on the list for AA tickets expecting to wait a few years. To my surprise I received tickets that year. I was told by the MSHSL that they usually drop off about 200 season ticket holders per year. At the time I signed up the list was less then 200 people. I would be inte...
