Ford
I had heard that the Ford's are moving to Washington (state, I believe). If so, EP is losing its "stud" goalie and someone in Washington is getting him! Congratulations to EP on finishing up on a terrific season.

Re: PeeWee B1 State........Once again bad refs
From what I saw, it was a very close (and difficult) call for the ref. I thought it was a high stick, looked to be about eye level where he tipped it. Talked to someone who had it on videotape and said it was a clear high stick. A good call in a difficult situation for the refs. Kudos to them.
</...

Re: Redistricting
Wayzata - I've got some numbers at the PeeWee level (that I would think would extrapolate to the other levels fairly well):

1) Wayzata - 174 players => 10 teams:A(1),B1(2),B2(2),C(5)
2) Edina - 150 players => 9 teams:A(1),B1(2),B2(2),C(4)
3) Rochester - 149 players => 9 teams: *A(2),*B(...

Re: Great Squirt A Teams
Then sounds like they are reasonably legit to play Edina w/in 2 over 90 minutes. But if they are posting controlled scrimmages in their record, I wonder why the Edina scrimmage isn't listed? Something just doesn't look right there.

Re: Great Squirt A Teams
Saw on Coon Rapids website that they are 34-1-2, only loss to Woodbury. Don't know that their schedule compares favorably to Edinas, but impressive nonetheless. BTW, if my math is right that's 37 games - aren't squirts limited to 35???? Sounds like somebody's going to get into trouble...

<...

Re: PWB1 State
If I'm not mistaken, Como was the only TC district team to win a game in regionals - at ALL levels. I think the TC went 1-18... ouch!

Right on SLP coach. While it may be funny, it just tarnishes the effort. And it IS a worthwhile effort!

They got smoked 7-3 by Centennial, and they just lost the one game they shoulda won in regions to WBL. They're done.

Re: PWB1
You may be right, Southwest will probably hang tough but lose. Spring Lake is another "no A team" association. Como is legit (again, no 'A' team) and faired reasonably well outside of district - beat Chaska 2-1, tied Roseville, lost to one of the Edina teams by one... But I don't see them ...

Moorhead
Anyone know how the Moorhead youth program is set up? According to their website they have nine squirt teams (six house, three travel) but only three peewee and bantam teams (all travel). What happens to their kids that don't make travel in peewees/bantams? Do they have house at the PW/Btm levels or...

Re: ep peewee
Yes, I think you are right - just about EVERYONE shortens their bench in given situations... I think many times, the kids being shorted in those situations are first year players - the EXACT same kids that will be out there in the same situation the following year. Is there anything wrong with that?...

Re: ep peewee
There's a whole lotta beechin about "fair" play, but I'd like to hear people's opinions of when (age-wise/level-wise) it is OK to shorten the bench, also when (game situation-wise) it is OK. And try to put aside feelings of having been beat by a team that may have shortened their bench to ...
