The Edina JGA team and probably Burnsville could definitely beat many single A teams and could beat a handful of AA teams. Teams like Kennedy and Shakopee would for sure get beaten by the top two or three Junior Gold A teams this year, and I, personally, think that the Edina JGA could compete with t...

Re: All Metro Boys Hockey Team Selected
Nope. It's about right where he belongs. I think Benik should be ecstatic to be on the second team. There are plenty of other forwards that should of made it ahead of him. Also, Shaughnessy or Kruger should of had the third spot for Goalies instead of Davis. Your answer WOULD be the same IF Holl, R...

Edina looked very sound. Thats what you need when you play a team with some top end talent on it. You need to be tough and not intimidated by them. Edina could make some noise in the tourney. No doubt about it. They forecheck hard, they're fast, and can play a physical game. Plus they've got some g...

If Edina shows up, regardless of what Jefferson does, Edina will win I feel like this is true when a team has more talent. And Edina clearly does not. I think that if both teams have their best game, Jefferson's best is better. Let's face it, Herbert's best game is a little better than Taft's. I'd ...

No playoff atmosphere at all. It didn't feel any different than if I were watching it at home on TV. However, getting tickets, parking, and finding a good seat was easy. Mariucci should take a lesson from the folks at Target Center on how to prepare for a sectional final doubleheader. You're right,...

Re: Edina v. Jefferson - 2AA Final
Non factor, you are unaware of the truth and it does not concern you or me. Edina is still on a mission since failing the last two years. Last year with Budish they dominate. This year they beat Jefferson by 3 and the place empties out early in the third period. I have seen Jefferson now and I do n...

Re: 2AA
Yeah and losing and tying lakeville north is such an accomplishment  The problem with Jefferson is they play down to their opponents level sometimes. Lakeville North wasn't the worst team in the world this year either, though. But still, they should have scraped them. And AHA will not win this...

Re: 2AA
I agree. Winner of Edina/AHA will probably win. They are the top two teams in the section. Just curious...what makes you rank Holy Angels above Burnsville and Jefferson? Tying Edina  I would say that Burnsville has proven they are a good team and possibly better than AHA, but, to the fault of...

Re: 2AA
The bracket is shown on mnhockeyhub and sort of below Edina Vs Kennedy Holy Angels Vs Chaska/Chan (aka Chaska Tier 1 vs Chaska Tier 2 ) Jefferson vs Prior Lake Burnsville vs Shakopee First rounds are obvious winners like always, but what are the predictions throughout the section playoffs? I'm curi...

Wow..Jefferson's goaltending has been horrific lately. Vs. LVN Jags allowed 4 goals on 14 shots, and today against Burnsville allowed 3 on 17. What may be a bigger concern for them is their inability to score more goals with the amount of shots they put up. They put up 29 to Bville's 17 (per hockey...

Score is now 4-4 2 minutes left in the third. Wow. Apparently LVN has them figured out or Jefferson feels like they need to take penalties and play poorly against LVN any time they meet. Jefferson lacks any type of consistency/discipline it's terrible. Does Jefferson have their JV goalie in? Never ...

Karl, when you say that Jefferson lacks that big win, does the win over Wayzata, your number 2 team, count for nothing? Or the win over Eagan at home after EP lost to them at home? Just saying. I'm saying that more from a mental standpoint than anything else. Yes, wins over Wayzata and Eagan are im...

Re: Eagan team
It's amazing how quiet the board is tonight. Where is Roseauverrated, toptitty, wtbearlk1111, and all of the others I've missed who have never seen Eagan play yet like to pick against them, rip them, etc. etc. It's amazing how an Eagan win has shut everyone up. HHF was kind enough to come out and s...

Re: Eagan team
Right now, this Eagan team is just too young. May be a good team next year, but expecting a win on Eagan's ice with EP will not happen. I know it has been tough, EP used to open its schedule at Eagan and was always a tough opener. EP wins here in a tough game. I think most would agree they've overa...

Re: section 2AA
theoneandonly is correct: Only quality win for AHA this year is vs. the Elkaholics. They are not worthy of a #2 seed based on a 4-4 tie with Edina. C'mon HSHW, I like your passion, but your logic is flawed. Give us something else to consider. But don't start with they are playing better hockey now ...
