Well all I can say is I hope finally this will give the Eagan boys the respect they deserve. This was a great game, physical at times and very fun to watch. Both teams scored one soft goal and then two terrific goals. Unlike the first game Eagan was able to mostly shut down the Eagles power play. Bodecker played a strong game, the only team to score more than two goals on him this year is EP with 7 game one and 3 tonight.

Happy,

I thought Eastview scored 3 and lost 4-3 to Eagan a month ago with the shots 56-13 in favor of Eagan.

Upon further review, Bodeker has given up 3 goals versus Jefferson, HASTINGS, Eastview, Eden Prairie twice (7). Still.... it's recorded that his stats are a 1.72 GAA and .926 save %. People can argue Eagan doesn't have a tough schedule, but Eden Prarie twice, Burnsville, Apple Valley, Jefferson, 8th A South St. Paul, Lakeville, and a sneaky Hopkins team is pretty good.

I believe the youth and inexperience will finally catch up to them this week, though.

They gave up 4 to Chaska the other night. I don't think EP scores any less than 5.

EP - 5
Eagan - 2
It's amazing how quiet the board is tonight. Where is Roseauverrated, toptitty, wtbearlk1111, and all of the others I've missed who have never seen Eagan play yet like to pick against them, rip them, etc. etc. It's amazing how an Eagan win has shut everyone up.

HHF was kind enough to come out and speak after the 7-1 EP win, the least the rest of you can do is come on here and give him his props.

HockeyMn1, it's nice to see you confess you were wrong. Kind of a little lesson learned here by many. Toot your horn about your own team and don't criticize others.

Eagan has lost 1 high school hockey game this year to the defending state champs and current #2 team. While they may not be better than EP, they can and will compete every night regardless of the opponent. Tough week coming up still. Good luck to them the rest of the way and most of all Congrats on a nice win!!! =D>
I actually have seen Eagan play and I'm sorry it wasn't too hard to "rip them" when they looked plain stupid in the first matchup in EP. So they won the rematch, that's nice. If you look at any rankings I've EVER done, Eagan is always top ten, ask HSHW, I bet you guys are good cyber buddies. I'll admit one thing, I defend Jefferson. It's hard for me not to. One thing I don't do, though, is create little posts just to brag about my team because nobody is talking about them. The only reason anybody ever got on the case of all the Eagan fans on this blog was because the Eagan lovers felt that they absolutely HAD to talk about Eagan and how good they were on the blog, otherwise nobody would EVER think they were good or something  . Everyone said, we'll wait until Eagan has a great showing, EP will be a big test, and then what happened, they seemed to get exposed. I, along with just about everyone except you and HSHW, thought, "ya, they are probably overrated." They came back this week and proved my wrong I guess, but it's not like this game just wipes out the first one, at least not to me. Good for Eagan. Never did I say they were a bad team, so for everyone's sake worsthockeyfan, please keep the bragging and arguing to a minimum for the next week until you quit blogging for a while when Eagan isn't doing anything super bragworthy.

1. That is a rankings thread. We discuss the rankings here. When there are two teams that are both doing similarly well, there is a head to head game and the loser of the game is WAY ahead of the winner, that's something to talk about. If Breck had held onto their lead, or won in OT, they would be at the top of everyone's rankings, not STA.

2. I'm not an Eagan fan...at all. I like rankings and discussing them. Being a math/numbers guy, I like discussing this sort of thing. Period.

3. How is the #3 team (they were by most accounts and still should be, maybe even #2) beating the #7 or 8 team by 6 "exposing" them? No one thought Eagan would win in EP. That's like judging anyone because they lost to Tonka.

chirp...chirp...chirp....chirp...H E L L O O O !...anybody out there??? :P
Eagan has always played EP tough at their home rink. This doesn't suprise me. Ep has always opened their Lake schedule at Eagan. Just a slight set back, they will rebound. Eagan is a factor here, but I still believe they are still just too young yet to be a contender in their Section.
Wow this is great! This is one of the first times I have seen a lake conf fan upgrade section 3. So bascally you are saying that within the Lake conference Eagan is a huge factor. Now, outside the conference they will meet mostly SEC teams in sections. Lakeviewing are you really saying that the top SEC teams in section 3 are still above Eagans league? So basically Eagan just downed EP, and Cretin downed Edina, so with Woodbury's easy decision against cretin puts Woodbury ahead of Cretin, Edina, and Eagan? sorry Happy but Lakeviewing already decided your fate in section 3. Thats about the funniest thing I have heard from someone who is trying to defend a great loss from a good team. Eagan will most likely draw a #1 seed in section 3. highly deserved, and i am sure that they will not be overlooking WBY, Cretin, or AV for that matter. Section 3 is a tough section, and whichever comes out of it will have had to play outstanding hockey to claim its title. I think it would be easier just to hang your head Lakeviewing and say congrats to Eagan.....

Eastsider, I think the SEC schools will be plenty tough come sections and even though I feel Eagan will deserve the #1 seed I dont think it will be of any real advantage. Barring a major first round upset it will come down to Eagan, CDH, Woodbury and AV in the semi's and at that point its a crapshoot who wins. I like Eagan's chances but by no means will I be looking past that competition. Looking forward to some GREAT playoff hockey! :D :D

1. I know it's a rankings thread, but trust me, Eagan response was much higher than any others and the responses were written in sort of a nagging way, nagging that Eagan wasn't high enough. People said they'll have their shot to prove more when they face EP, and they split the games, so they've proben a legitimate team. But I also was talking about the little threads titled "Eagan beats Eastview 4-3" or whatever the score was, adn the initial post would be something to the effect of "wow they are a great team they should do some big things anyone agree???" People don't need to be talking about a team to make the team a good one.

2. I'm not the only one to call you an Eagan homer. You may not be. I know for a fact you're anti-Jefferson. Maybe Sats or Lindq is your arch nemesis or something.

3. EP wasn't rated #3, at least not on this forum, at the time. You've had Eagan around #7 for a while and at the time of the first game EP was probably around #5. 6-1 loss exposes them to maybe not as fantastic as Eagan lovers were talking them up to be. I was not the first to say the word "exposed" on this forum, so if you wanna discuss how or why people feel Eagan got exposed, you can ask whoever said it initially. They got a great win last night. I don't know why worsthockeyfan ever called me out personally on the stupid thread, because I've never said anything bad about Eagan, unless I didn't rank them high enough for him when I ranked them in the top 10, maybe 9 or 8, BEFORE this win. Jeez, guess I shoulda had em at #1. Come on. If you want you're team to get respect, don't brag about them so much and talk them up. If you keep talking a team up, any let down will be even worse. TONS of posters have talked about Eagan fans taking it easy because they are embarrasssing the team. Just look at where all the Eagan drama got started and I'm sure you'll find what I'm talking about.
