They MAY go there, as some do now, because Rahn will play them as freshman or even 8th graders (if you are at a level as Gersich). Academics and likely costs, MAY not be a big factor.

With Rahn wanting to recruit  the top EP, Tonka, Chan, Chaska players, he'll want to show they will be able to play against those teams in Sectionals rather than the Litchfields. He also wants to jump in when EP will be down.

Re: GREATEST GAME OF THE YEAR?

Wayzata vs EP had to be one of the best hockey games i have ever seen, that's all my school (wayzata) talked about today even though we lost. It was an amazing atmosphere and so nerve-racking. Good luck to EP at state. Any other games this season that could possibly top last night? Glad you posted ...

While it will be a good pool of teams; the tournament would obviously be upgraded if 2-3 district 6 teams were involved. The EP-Wayzata tilt Wednesday would be a great State semi or final. Something has to be done to balance these districts. The answer isn't that the balance of district power chang...

Fine, then BSM gets to lose in the section semis instead of the finals. Pretty typical year.

In the Cities at the BB2 anc BC levels, league games in our District 6 are 12 minutes with no resurface. Idea is to complete in one hour. I don't agree that is should be this way. I think at Bantam, the level they are playing shouldn't dictate a shorter game. My understanding from MN Hockey is that ...

18-0. This is just Noel Rahn just trying to be a big shot, to make a statement (insert Dan Barreiro voice here), in his 1st game as coach of HF.

He thinks he's building the next STA.

1 1/2 Minute Minor Penalties

What are your toughts on this pilot of 1 1/2 minute minors for PW and Bantam? While I understand the reasoning that 2 minutes is a large % of the game time, my first thought is that we will see more penalties taken due to the shorter time off the ice. That I wouldn't want to see. Plus, that would al...

No, Bauer will just believe you on whatever sticks you have. How many kids on your hockey team? 15? Just tell them you need 15.

Don't be shocked but when I called the Bauer line I got the "the call volume is very high, please leave a message and a representative will call you back".

I left a message, I'll let you all know how long it takes for them to call back.

To be fair Edina didn't have enough goalies to support three B1 teams. They do have three B2 teams but each team only has one goalie. I may be wrong but from wha I could tell Edina Green only played one goalie much more than another. If so, they wouldn't need two top tier goalies and they may then ...

We have a tiered systm, A, B1, B2 and C. That is four classes, more than enough. Yes, we just need to use the system we have more effectively; obviously that is easier said than done. But, adding an A2 class so small town Johnny can say he is in Pee Wee A can't be the right answer.

Garth, is the concern getting the clock down to zero before the hour is up? Then just have a running clock. You can play a 60 minute game in the hour block. I don't think that is the solution you want. The NFL wanted to keep the games from lasting so long, so they changed the rules to keep the cloc...

Remember a key part of my original point, short of moving our chunk of the metro area up to district 16, we have a stinking one hour to get in a game. It drives one crazy to see all the stopages of play. Blown whisle, ref retrieves the puck, line changes, the refs make sure that everyone is lined up...

Delayed Offsides

I'm sure this has been discussed on the bored previously but, I for one would think going to a delayed offsides starting at PeeWee would make sense. Besides helping the flow of the game, a key issue this would address is the game time limits. For our PeeWee B games, more than 1/2 the games are not f...
