Eagleman - with all do respect:
When a topic like "BSM the sentimental favorite?" is started - expect to read various opinions for various reasons.
If people's opinions are twisted into statements like "crock", "BS", "hatred", and "jealousy" you have a thread that evolves to what we have here - with your contribution as well.
Escalate the conversation and you will get an escalated response. To tie feelings about a tragic accident (that everyone is on their seats praying for) with a program that SOME people do not want to associate with, is asking for controversy. The #13 is all over the state, helmets, and arenas in support of JJ... not necessarily for a hockey program or an accomplishment that would make it a good story. Associating the two is just not good.
Probably a topic that never needed discussion, but now it's out there.
Let's not predict the ending to this story or people's feeling about it... Let's live it when the journey is complete. It's too emotional and complicated and not something to debate.
If you disagree with my opinion... fine, but don't spin my message to a separate agenda.
BSM the sentimental favorite?

Whether this topic gets locked, deleted, or goes on indefinitely, I'm removing myself from it immediately. I made my statements based on FACTS and things I saw with my own eyes and no amount of arguing is going to change my mind.
As I said before, I hope for the best for Jack and hope by some miracle he walks again someday, but I will not translate that into cheering for a team and coach to win that I have no respect for.
