Games on Monday and Tuesday of this week.

Luke Lijewski scored a goal as New Prague downed Northfield 3-0.

Mark Anez scored 2 goals and assisted on 1 as Little Falls blanked River Lakes 13-0.

Karson Kuhlman picked up a single assist as Cloquet lost 5-3 to Forest Lake. He continues to lead the frosh scoring chart with 48 points.

Eighth-grader Shane Gersich led Holy Family Catholic to victory over Litchfield 7-1, scoring 3 goals and assisting on one. He is #2 in scoring for the HFC squad. And will be followed NEXT YEAR also, as a freshman. Frosh Joey Marooney also added a goal.

Lance Buchtel 1 goal and 1 assist as Shakopee beat Chaska 5-2. Cade Gersich scored a goal for Chaska.

Paul Kenney had a goal and an assist for St. Cloud Apollo in a 4-2 loss to Sartell/St. Stephen.

WSFLG (WI) beat Barron/Chetek (WI) 10-1 with Aaron Dietmeier getting 2 goals and 3 assists. Okay, good; but it was a Wisconsin team that they beat. Sounds like a good news/bad news joke to me. Good news: we won. Bad news: it was another team from Wisconsin.
Dietmeier finishes the 25-game season with 43 points (25 goals). Congrats. If you want to slag me for my comments, remember, the title at the top says 'Minnesota High School Hockey'.

Austin Poganski continues his scoring rally with 2 goals as St. Cloud Cathedral downs Orono 4-3. Team-mate Will Hammer picked up one assist. Poganski leads all Minnesota frosh with 18 goals this season so far (2 games left).

Connor Hurley 1 goal and 1 assist for Holy Angels. They beat Red Wing 5-0.

North St. Paul 4-0 over Stillwater with the Oliver's picking up points again (Justin 1g 1a, Tyler 1a).

Yeah, the frosh last year seemed to have more 'studs' than this year's crop.

Oh yeah, I did miss him. I had him on my list but jumped right over the 17-point row. Thanks for pointing out the oversight; it has been corrected above.

Rosters are online here:

http://www.mshsl.org/mshsl/rosters.asp?actnum=410

Most of the top scorers are forwards, of course, but I do know that Keegan Iverson (Breck) and Teemu Kivihalme (Burnsville) are both defenseman.
