Like the Olympics they only use the puck line to start. + / - GOALS

If they had a money line, Roseau to be a straight winner it would probably be lay $1 to win $5, maximum bet would remain $200.
the money line for Roseau is +110, bet $100 to win 110, meaning they are an underdog. Roseau is +1.5 so if you bet Roseau @ +1.5, they need win by 2 goals. If you bet Roseau @ +110, they just need to win the game by any margin.
Deacon.. is that accurate??? Doesn't that mean that Roseau gets 1.5 goals added to their score, so they could actually lose 4-3, but when you add the 1.5 goals, they win 4.5-4?? They don't have to win by 2 goals, do they??

In football, if the Vikes are favorited by 6 points over the Bears, and you take the Bears +6, If the Vikes win the game 21-17, I covered with the +6 as the Bears now would win the odds of 23-21.
That is correct. GFD, Do you want to play some poker this weekend? Cheap gambling lessons available.
This outta give you my answer......

You guys are blending spread bets with money line bets - they are listed next to each team but they are for a separate type of bet.

The money line does not involve a spread, which is why you must bet more on the favorite to win the same amount for betting less on the underdog. i.e. betting $110 on the favorite to win for $100 back or bet $100 to win $120 on the underdog. No spread is involved.

The spread pays out a straight up return if your team covers the spread - meaning a $100 bet wins $100 if the spread is covered (although there may or may not be a rake or whatever). The reason you can win more this way betting the favorite is that the favorite has to win by X amount and not just by 1.

I hope this is not real. All we need is another Pete Rose, Art Schleaster[sp] ordeal.

I'd like to see a link to this also.....I do bet regularly with bookmaker.com & betus.com, which don't have anything like this.

Personally, I find sports wagering lines fascinating.....what I find fascinating is that someone is educated enough to put a wagering line on this. Does somebody watch high school hockey througout the year to come up with these lines? Does someone know the type of teams that will garner wager interest? I'm fascinated that someone is able to put this together.

If I was wagering, I'd take:
Edina (-150): Feel that if they win, it would be by at least 2 goals
Tonka (-120): See a 5 goal victory

I'd stay away from the others....the Duluth East +120 looks good, but I'm scared of empty net goals & 1.5 spreads.

You're correct, I mixed the +/-.

HS Hockey odds

I didn't see this until just now.

I'll add my odds against winning the state tournament.
  • Mtka - EVEN
    Edina - 5:1
    Hill - 6:1
    Blaine - 8:1
    DE - 15:1
    Roseau - 20:1
    AV - 100:1
    LN - 1000:1
(50 + 17 + 14 + 11 + 6 + 5 + 1 + 0...math checks out close enough to 100%)
Be kind. Rewind.

Ya know, council member........ if you would have taken some "potatoes" each resident had to pay associated to their respective housing in the city you were once a member of, and invested those "potatoes" in HS Hockey Vegas odds, you may have very well had a role as mayor in your fine city.. :-k

I'd say the odds are 10-1 against someone actually posting a link to the odds that got this discussion started.

My friend has an account. It doesn't look like they don't have a way to view the lines without an account.

I'm sure if you call customer service, they would give you whatever information you want
