UPDATE:

It looks as though Jefferson has taken a 7-6 lead in the polls. Seems as though my campaigning and recruiting efforts are starting to pay off. :D

To call either of these teams overrated is superfluous. Both of these teams are VERY capable. Eagan has had a great year, and Jefferson is coming into its own down the stretch.

Jefferson takes this one 5-2.

Jags 4-2. Should be a good game. Glad to see that there are more interesting games in the lake this year rather than just the EP Jefferson games like last year.

Coin flip, Heads Panthera onca, Tails Felis silvestris.

It landed on it's side and stayed there.
2-2 tie. Basically a loss for both teams.

I'd love to be there to watch both sets of parents.

Glad to see you are all having such a great time at the expense of my beloved Wildcats!...If nothing else this season, they have at least provided much entertainment not only on the ice but on this forum. I'd like to say that I think many of your comments are overrated. But seriously, I have drained the whiskey barrel drowning my sorrows after the B'ville loss, but its time to move on and look forward to a victory over the Jags. That will be the perfect cure, the Cats will be ready like they were in the rematch with EP and out to prove the BV loss was a fluke, bad night at the rink. But just in case things turn sour, I have another barrel of whiskey on order. GO CATS !! 8)

It was 3-2 after 2 periods, only the 3rd period was a whooping. Big deal, a loss is loss...3-2 or 8-2 its still only counts as one loss in the loss column. Dont bet against Eagan, this is a young but tenacious team and regardless what happens down the stretch come playoffs they will do some damage.

Love it! Go Wildcats!! (Don't really care who wins - just hate to see HHF stumbling around the arena after the game dragging his barrel)

Comments on 2 periods of overrated hockey:

Jefferson has the talent and they're imposing they imposed their will in the second. After a tentative PK that led to the Eagan goal, they got way more aggressive on the PK and the results were obvious.

Though Eagan lacks the top-end talent of Jefferson at this point, I like their makeup. They know what they're doing, and the defensemen have done a great job of slowing the Jefferson breakaways. They're playing with fire if they keep on taking penalties, though.

The move Kuchera pulled on Faust shorthanded was sick. One of the best I've seen at the HS level, considering the defenseman he was going up against. If Eagan can keep all these sophomores around, they'll be downright scary in a few years. (Not that they aren't pretty capable right now.)

I'll second that karl along with Forest Lake they are 2 teams who will be tough assuming the kids stay around.
