Gophers 17
Boilers 6

6:00 4th

Can the D hold.

Through 54 minutes they've surrendered 6 points. Will they allow a quick strike TD right after the lead was stretched by Weber and Co.

I hate to suggest such a foolish notion, but is it possible...possible... that we underestimated Timmy B.?

Could it be that he really does know how to recruit/coach?

I'd like to see how he sells a 1-11 season - including losses to NDSU & FAU, and barely getting their one win against an "inferior" team in triple OT.

Ice to eskimos may not be good enough.
Its nice to keep a running thread!!!

This Wacker Brewster guy is embarrassing. He treated the win vs Northern Illinois like it was a win over Ohio State. He was jacked up like he won the Rose Bowl.

He will never make it.

ChrisK and his kind wanted Mason fired because he was too proud of going to Bowl games on Dec 26th. Well, this guy is proud of wins over No Ill.

Hey, how hard would it be? Just say "We Boofed up , we should have stayed with Glen"

Then REHIRE MASON.......Coach for Life.

#22 NW, #23 Kansas have already fallen, #21 BYU and #17 Pitt are also in trouble.

The Gophers will be moving up in the polls.

I'm still a doubting tomASS - one winning season after 1-11, finish the year out strong. Win a bowl game, Keep your defensive coordinator, open the new stadium and usher in a new era of the forgotten maroon and gold with another convincing winning season and I'll stop doubting.

However I am pleasantly surprised and very happy for the time being.

Even the Gopher women soccer team is over-performing this year - must be in the water?

The Gopher D has no answer for the QB's legs but fortunately the 'Cats elect to pass once in a while.

Weber and Co. currently driving after the big pick.

Neither head coach really seems to have an idea on how to win this one.

FINAL

I've seen the Gophers blow a three touchdown lead late, I've seen the punter drop a snap in the final seconds, I've seen Drew Brees drive the length of the field in 20 seconds, I've seen them blow the biggest halftime lead (which led to Mason's firing) in College Football history but I haven't seen them lose one like this before.

As usual, strength of schedule gets everyone's hopes up mid season. Gopers get a pass this yr with no Penn St nor Mich State. That still wont be enough to contend for the Big10 though. This weekends NW loss is a sign of things to come.

Just my $.02

Saturdays game showed we dont need to REHIRE MASON as I have advocated.

The spirit of Glen the Great lives on in the Metrodome.

Find a way to lose and make it a real boofin goofy way while you are at it.

They could win the rest or lose the rest.

Pick6 to win it. Surprised it wasn't their QB that picked it off and diced through our D.

Some of the gopher players were on the radio, they said they were glad the coach went for it. Showed he has confidence in them.
Hmmm....

Now you know why Denny took the knee.

If I remember right it was almost the same time left and field position.

You know if that pansie Robert Smith would of stayed in bounds instead of running out of bounds on that drive, they would of run the clock out and not missed the field goal giving Atlanta the ball back to tie the game.
Then Denny would have not taken the knee, so long story short I place the blame on Robert Smith.

BTW I have never watched a Gopher game.
