Its nice to keep a running thread!!!Govs93 wrote:I'd like to see how he sells a 1-11 season - including losses to NDSU & FAU, and barely getting their one win against an "inferior" team in triple OT.Neutron 14 wrote:They hired a recruiter and we all knew it. I'm much more concerned with the quality of HIS recruits than the win loss record. If he can sell icebox's to eskimos everything will be fine. If he can't, get a rope.
Ice to eskimos may not be good enough.

Whatd I tell yah.packerboy wrote:REHIRE MASON
This Wacker Brewster guy is embarrassing. He treated the win vs Northern Illinois like it was a win over Ohio State. He was jacked up like he won the Rose Bowl.
He will never make it.
ChrisK and his kind wanted Mason fired because he was too proud of going to Bowl games on Dec 26th. Well, this guy is proud of wins over No Ill.
Hey, how hard would it be? Just say "We Boofed up , we should have stayed with Glen"
Then REHIRE MASON.......Coach for Life.

We're thick with geniuses around here!ChrisK wrote: I've seen too many Gopher coaches come in talking a good game to believe anything that Brewster says. The only thing that counts is what happens on the field.
My gut tells me this guy is a used car salesman and will be back on the lot in three years

I'm still a doubting tomASS - one winning season after 1-11, finish the year out strong. Win a bowl game, Keep your defensive coordinator, open the new stadium and usher in a new era of the forgotten maroon and gold with another convincing winning season and I'll stop doubting.
However I am pleasantly surprised and very happy for the time being.
Even the Gopher women soccer team is over-performing this year - must be in the water?

NW 24
MIN 17
FINAL
I've seen the Gophers blow a three touchdown lead late, I've seen the punter drop a snap in the final seconds, I've seen Drew Brees drive the length of the field in 20 seconds, I've seen them blow the biggest halftime lead (which led to Mason's firing) in College Football history but I haven't seen them lose one like this before.

You know if that pansie Robert Smith would of stayed in bounds instead of running out of bounds on that drive, they would of run the clock out and not missed the field goal giving Atlanta the ball back to tie the game.packerboy wrote:Now you know why Denny took the knee.
If I remember right it was almost the same time left and field position.
Then Denny would have not taken the knee, so long story short I place the blame on Robert Smith.

BTW I have never watched a Gopher game.
