So big deal, what's changed up there ?? same old... same oldOGEE OGELTHORPE wrote:Don't know about ice fishing in May, suppose you could take your boat out to the big ice slab and drill a hole and fish.
Most people are Deer hunting, all Deer must be shot according to the DNR.
Helicopters, spotlight, baiting any way you want.
Who would of thunk it.

As kids we had to be careful not to get caught.

A local Bemidji radio show had a DNR person take questions from listeners. One of the questions was, "If you are standing on the ice and casting into open water, can you use two lines?" The answer was no but I thought it brought up a debateable point on what constitutes ice fishing and open water fishing.

So you can't cast one, and drill thru the ice and set a tip up ??

Mrs. Paul and myself enjoyed a tasty shore lunch near Lake Minnetonka. My buddy Gorton was invited, but couldn't navigate his way back in from the choppy waters... hope he's ok.Can't Never Tried wrote:Well did anyone catch anything? here in the metro area it was pretty miserable in the afternoon Sat.
I didn't go fishing but wanted to know if they were biting, and where.
