Any younger goalies taking the starting varsity job?

Post by Vinceburg »

Just wondering who might be some younger kids that will have to put the shoes on and be the starting goalie.

Look for Tony Civ out of Mounds View to take the starting gig for that program.

tony civ had the starting position, already, no one will challenge him for it at mv. It'll be the first time in a long time where a goalie at mv will carry the load by himself

Roseville graduated two senior goalies so best guess is that they take Ben Podobinski who only has one year of JV under his belt. He is good, but inexperienced.

Eastview had a ninth grader in last year. I am sure he will have a great year this year. Last year, he showed inconsistency and was probably behind in his physical development. It probably would have been better for the team to have relied on the upperclassman.

Chisago

Chisago graduated Tom Fitzer, their senior goalie, and now it looks like a sophmore, Tyler Krumm, will have to step into the net. This entire team is young, look for Krumm to get shelled.

with the two year starter Nate hardy out hermantown has a slight dilema. Three sophomores have moved up all talented, junior goalie tessier who's improved and right there, and of course senior Citro who is capable but lacking in size. I honestly think its anybody's shot for the starting job it just depends on who steps up.

2 sophmores at Stillwater, Cotter and Pennella, the future looks good in nets for the Ponies.

AY 8)[/quote] The kids last name is Civ...... is it pronouced like the ominous word everyone chants after the 5th or 6th goal? Or is that a nickname... Cause thats gotta kinda suck for him.

This thread is asking what younger goalies to look out for, Civello will be a senior this year, so we are talking about him...why? On top of that he is most definately NOT a standout, on a team with no skill, so I'm guessing his GAA won't be very good his final year of hockey.

wow, he played in elite II so he cant be terrible and also played for a junior team over the summer buddy. Also about the stats, last year for a team that only won 8 games him and the other goalie had very respectable stats. I look for MV to be a contender and and someone who can shake things up a bit in the SEC!
