Team USA finished the tournament in second place with a 3-1-0-0 record.

One minute later, Whitney took Kyle Beattie’s (Avondale, Ariz.) pass, deked Czech goaltender Philip Novotny and slid the puck into the empty net to cut the deficit to 3-1. The Czechs scored once again at 9:10 to take back the two-goal advantage.
In the final period, after the Czech Republic made it 5-1, Josh Birkholz (Maple Grove, Minn.) one-timed a pass from Brad Walch (Saginaw, Mich.) past Novotny to make it a 5-2 score. Honejsek tallied twice more to account for the 7-2 final score.
