It really hurts me when you refer to my thoughtful , witty and informative posts as "rants".

I dont understand why you have to be so mean to me all the time.

But maybe we are making a big deal ot of something that is just one of those games. I hope so. It would be a shame for this team to get knocked out of contention because they cant score one flippin run off of Nate Boofin Robertson.

I'm sorry packerboy. I didn't take your feelings into account and I have edited my post with your feelings in mind. I hope it meets with your approval.

If the Twins win the next two I think we'll be able to look at this game as 'one of those games'.

Thanks, thats much better.

Lets go. Gotta win with Johan on the hill.

See the ball, hit the ball. In fact, be the ball.

Lets win this one and get back on track.

I would say that the Tigers' pitchers have had the edge over Twins bats as of late.

Santana's 22% done pitching a no hitter. And the twins' bats are swinging today. It's looking good.

9 up, 9 down through 3 innings, with 3 strikeouts and bringing his ERA down to 2.54; hopefully we can get at least 2 runs.

I'm a little late but I haven't missed much.

Let's see 21 + 3 = 24

Guess I spoke too soon. Santana gives up a double in the 4th and throws 15 pitches to one pitcher which turns into a strikeout, putting his pitch total at 70.

Morneau breaks the watchers rules, scoring a run for the Twins.

What are you talking about? You have to try to get out of the way of a pitch if you can. Mornaeu couldn't. Ford could.

For five innings of play there is a lot to digest.

1. I've figured out why the Twins can't hit, the Ordonez and Guillen AB's in the 4th speak volumes in conjuction with the Morneau AB in the bottom half of the same inning. The Twins are too young, they go 24, 28, 26 in the middle, Detroit goes 38, 33, 32. Talent and experience are deadly. Like it or not, Mauer, Cud, & Morneau still need seasoning, about five years each.

2. Kubel is a money player, his three pitch AB in the 5th proves it, What theater though.

Well the scoreless streak is over, four to play, who knows?

Anyone else this the umpire is doing a poor job? Calling many balls strikes?

Punto hit a double bringing Cirillo to 3rd, maybe this'll be the start of his offensive streak.

Dan Shulman's call on the worldwide leader in sports really gives this game a playoff feel.

The Tiger pen isn't what is was with Zumaya and Rodney, these clowns are capable of giving this one away.

I'm not looking for a playoff feel, I'm looking for a fair feel. If it's not over the plate it can't be a strike.

Ford, 0-4 with 7 men left on base. He's got to go.

The Cirillo and Ford AB's in the seventh were especially disturbing as to how soft their outs were. Come on Cirillo, you looked like an overmatched Sophomore there, as for Ford, no comment.

Today will just be ugly, for two days now, with the exception of Ordonez, Detroit has done nothing at the plate. Today, I forsee them unleashing a blitzkrieg of firepower until now, unseen by man. Balls in the gap, balls over the fence, balls rattling around in the LF corner as Ford, Kubel, or some other LF stiff tiptoes around in circles trying to coral the ball with a merry-go-round of Cats circling the bases. The usual henchmen will be responsible, Granderson, Guillen, Ordonez, Monroe etc. etc. In fact, I'll fall over in shock if the first three Tigers don't reach base in the first putting Baker in the Twins on their heels before Wally can even vend a Brew.

DET will score early and often.

220-303-010
000-100-400

Tigers 11, Twins 5

To make matters worse, Kubel, Ford, or Cirillo will hit a 7th inning grandslam one day late.
