What does me cheering for Grand Rapids have to do with the Spuds losing to Roseau? I was cheering for them to beat Edina, idiot. ](*,) #-o

From this thread:
Spartanfan1 wrote:They have a quick first like with Grimsted, Kneopke and fauple. Their second line is pretty good too, collecting 4 goals in the section championship. As for the D, Ordahl and Wilcox are the top two with Pat Condon behind them. The goaltending is the biggest problem on the team. He is shaky and a lot of the times looks back into the night when he makes a save. If you can manage to get shots on them, you should have a pretty good chance of winning. However, you need to stop the first line.
Spartanfan appears to be a genius, because from what I saw today, he's right on. Fauple said a lot today, and the goaltending is obviously suspect.

Great win for Century, and in a way, I'm glad they won... I can go back to hating HM. I'd love to see them keep the ball rolling.

It is a great day for Minnesota high school hockey especially since we won't have to see a private school win the big one again this year. :D

U got the point. David beat Goliath..........of course you would remember that better with a private school upbringing. Maybe HM was just too comfortable in the X, they have been there so much it's like home ice to them.

Accept and enjoy what the whole tournament brings Private vs Public - North vs South - City vs Range - Small school vs Big school - teams loaded with potential D1 stars vs teams with none. That's what makes it so special and yet guys like you want to take all that excitment out of it. Teams that aren't natural rivals facing off. Look at the A Bantam State tourney Centennial plays WBL first round. They have played each other like 6 times this year how boring is that. Let what it is be.

If there ever was a game for all the cake, this is it. I call Century in a 6-5 duel. The goalies aren't a factor in this one because neither is going to play worth a hoot.

I'm confused, don't teams normally play better at their "home" rink as you said?

I mean what's their record there the past two years? 3-4 I don't know too many good teams with a below .500 win percentage at their "home" rink.

Looks like they better get comfortable playing at Mariucci though.

I believe the word you are looking for is "Over-confident" maybe they came in not as jacked up because they have been there before, took it in stride.

PIONEERPRIDEGUY and Five Hole Phillipi BAHAHAHA. They're a good pair. =D> Another stellar state tournament performance. PIONEERPRIDEGUY is the vatican looking for more players to hijack? Or just excommunicate Lechner?

One of these seeded teams had to lose a quarterfinal game at some point.

Maybe there will be some more this evening.

My pleasure. People everywhere are entitled to a get a glimpse of the iron range excellence that will be witnessed starting somewhere around 6:15 CST.

Most excellent rally from Rochester 100 today.
