Youngblood 08 I hate to say this but you are misinformed. If you think that a Hill vs. Stillwater section final would have been a better game you are crazy. White Bear beat Stillwater three times this year. HM destroyed White Bear, there depth is just too hard to match. Those Stillwater kids wouldnt...

Clearly STA doesnt belong in Class AA. That is pretty pathetic. Lets compare them to the ever hated Hill-Murray Pioneers. They both are private schools with a wide range of kids to draw from. HM has about 800 students in grades 9-12, with about 400 being boys. STA has 1000 kids in grades 9-12, ALL o...

#2 White Bear Lake Vs. #3 Stillwater
The Bears beat them twice during the regular season. Is the third time going to be a charm for the Ponies?

Thought the hit on Becker was pretty late. The kid definitely threw an elbow at him, It was worthy of a penalty. Then Sampair hits Marshall becuase he turns on him, Marshall lays on the ice and Sampair gets tossed, that was some B.S. If Sampair gets the boot for that, then the kid who hit Becker sho...

Pretty solid rankings. I thought Minnetonka was a lock to be downtown in March, the way section 6 is I dont know how you can mark them down as such. EP, Benilde, and wayzata are teams that could upset them. My predictions: 1. Rochester Century 2. Edina 3. Woodbury 4. Hill-Murray 5. Blaine 6. Minneto...

The Bears are a very low class team. They score a goal and act like they won the Stanley Cup. Not to mention the countless cheap hits behind the play and hacking and slashing going on. # 17 on the Bears should not be allowed to play that kid is a health hazard to other teams players. Ive never seen ...

Best Line in the State?
After seeing some of the top teams this week in the Schwanns Cup, any thoughts on the best/most dangerous line in the state?

I think this year for the first time in quite some time the classic suburban will be one of the tougher conferences. 1. Hill Murray- With 16 returning players the Pioneers will be a force to be reckoned with 2. St. Thomas Academy- Class A Powerhouse with a few D1 Players this year 3. Tartan- A senio...

Johnson's got heart. Those inner city boys fight to the death, that win against Tartan was a very inspirational display of hockey, and more so of grit and toughness, as well as determination. Stillwater may have more talent but I just cant see them getting a W. I'll take the Govs over the Ponies 3-1...

Statement game for the Hill Boys. Definitely looked like a contender. Forcheck was relentless, D zone was very reliable, and Shaughnessy looked like a seasoned varsity goalie all night long. You could tell by the way they played that they are getting sick of what people are saying. My hat is off to ...

I completely agree with you packerpuck. St. Thomas is obviously a perennial powerhouse and they have a great chance to retunr downtown. The Packers are a defensively strong team and can ride their goalie for a big win. Mahtomedi has a very dangerous player in Marshall and could upset anyone. Dont kn...

I think those stillwater people are getting a little too excited. Lets keep in mind that its been about 300 years since they have won a playoff game. And after seeing Hill play their last two games with their new team, it looks like they are still a solid team, i still take White Bear to go to state...

No doubt Hill is hurting after what has happened. But lets all remember that they are still Hill Murray and still expect to be the best, nothing can change that. AHA is top club and will have a very strong chance to win on teusday, but the pioneers will be flying, they have a lot to prove. As for Hi...
