Should be an interesting season. Don't see Mahtomedi as much of a threat with the loss of their senior class last season and Ben Marshall too. St Thomas Academy will be strong again next year, along with Totino, Spring Lake Park, and Chisago Lakes. Biggest concern with those three teams will be goal...

I think in 2005 Moorhead was ranked 1 for most of the year, but lost to Hill on the last game of the year, and Holy Angels in the finals.

I hope Section 4A can be represented better than a 2 and out like last year. 4A is too good of a section to be represented like that. I hope that Mahtomedi does well this year. They are very solid all around and I think they should receive a 2 or 3 seed, just my opinion. But good luck to the Zephyrs!

This section wil be one of the most exciting sections in the state to watch. In my opinion, any of the top 5 teams could win the section, St. Thomas is still the favorite I would say, but Mahtomedi showed that they can beat them the other night. Should be interesting to watch.

Seperating Decowski and Portner would not get anything accomplished. Portners stock value is almost worthless if he isn't on a line with Decowski, at least from what I've seen, he makes the most out of chances that Decowski sets him up for.

I'd like to see kids like Ray, Bennett, and Ekman make some noise for this team, they get overlooked with the spotlight on Decowski most of the time. Not to say that Decowski isn't a solid player but I think this team will go as far as their second and third lines, and goaltending can take them.

Totino took the first game this season in a 5-4 game. This game will be huge for section rankings, because the team that wins this game can make the strongest case for a #3 seed in section 4A. In all honesty, Totino Grace should not be ranked. They lost twice to St. Francis, I would say that losing once would be a fluke, but losing to a team twice is saying something.

I think the 3-2 loss to Mahtomedi helps redeem the Panthers for their bad losses. Time will tell though, they play Totino again, and Brainerd at the end of the season.
