Spring Lake Park @ Mahtomedi 2-6-10

Game is going to be played at the St. Croix Rec Center. Last year when the two teams played the Zephyrs took it 5-4 in a close game at Fogerty.

Mahtomedi has played very solid hockey lately and there only 4 losses have been to quality teams. Despite Spring Lake Parks 12-0 start, they are 4-4 in their last 8 games, with a few losses to very questionable teams.

With Hill being AA, I don't think the two games have much do to with each other. Last night's game was a conference game, tomorrow's is a section game. They are out of realistic contention for runner up in the conference; the Cadets would have to lose to both them and the Pioneers.

Instead, they should be worrying about the section. They win out and they have a good case for #1 seed in the section; lose tomorrow and that's gone regardless of what follows imo.

Tip==Spring lake park, play dump and run the whole 1st & 2nd period using all four lines....in the 3rd come at hard with 1 ,2,1,2,1,2...and if your goalie is on you may catch Medi runnning out of gas....

Very exciting game both ways, each team dominated a period with penalties, Park took too many in the first, and Mahtomedi took too many in the second. Third period was exciting, no penalties and it was a good showing for both teams. Hopefully we will see them battle it out come Sections.
