Re: STA

As long as AA schools outside of the Classic Suburban continue to schedule STA this issue will only get worse. STA's decision to play other prep schools doesn't bother me. However, If I were a head HS coach of a AA team, I would not play STA until they decide to move into AA. So, I think some fault...

The constant bickering about our school is smarter and we are better, is rediculous. Those who are calling for STA to move up to AA only have to argue the Point about Hockey. Most of us "public school dummies", dont care if you want to leave the public school community and pay for your ch...

eastside, I agree with what you say, JROTC at STA is designed to teach leadership skills, but did you just compare it to Hitler's youth? And by the way, you're missing some good hockey when you ignore their games, but that's your prerogative. Yeah, I suppose I did go a little far with the Hitler yo...

As for ROTC in High school, I get it. In public schools, the students attending ROTC are interested in the Military. Parents sending their kids to STA are looking for a disciplined school structure and the military structure attempts to provide that. As far as cirriculum is concerned, There are no r...

I have found myself behind in this thread. There was a class A tourney? If not for this thread, I couldn't even tell you who was in the JV tourney. I went to all the AA tourney games at the X, and I didn't see STA there. If we all ignore the fact that they have a team, maybe they will opt up, becaus...

Ya, but if STA, Breck, Totino, etc. all moved up then everyone would be complaining about watching an all private team tourney, and say all the public schools deserve to have their own state tourney    But lets say STA did move up and pretend they were in the tourney instead of say.....

Regardless of where all of them come from this year, IMHO they do not belong in the single A tourney. I realize that New Ulm looked highly underclassed to STA tonight, but they truely fit in class A. STA on the other hand are a conglomerate of kids mosly from AA program areas. Absolutly no different...

While it will be a good pool of teams; the tournament would obviously be upgraded if 2-3 district 6 teams were involved. The EP-Wayzata tilt Wednesday would be a great State semi or final. Something has to be done to balance these districts. The answer isn't that the balance of district power chang...

I believe that an upset is possible, however not probable. Hill may not have there strongest offense ever, but they play with balance and depth. they roll threee medium to strong lines consistantly. No other team in the section is as balanced from top to bottom. This issue is never ending. I dont be...

A 6-1 reacord isn't really saying much here. Outside of the 3 to 0 shutout of HM over WB, the losses are 1 goal games. Two wins are owned by STA, 1 HM, and the rest are the bottom feeders duking it out. Nobody from the CSC played Roseville, Stillwater, Forest Lake or Woodbury. I think the mid level ...

Woodbury 3

Park CG 1

FINAL

Park stopped their scoreless skid at 13 periods sliding a puck past the #1 goalie in the conference with less than a minute remaining in the game.

What do you expect when you have a conference full of average teams? Last year there were weekly polls/discussions about the SEC teams, and yet, nobody played at State. Even worse, their top teams got blown out in sections. Here we are with yet again weekly write ups about this conference and how c...

Woodbury game was a lot closer than the shots reflect. This was my first time seeing FL this year. A textbook hockey team with not too many standouts, but play a solid game. Woodbury is still staying in games with goal tending alone. The defense needs a lot of work hence the amount of shots seen eve...

Yea Karl this may be one of those examples of where a tight loss moves a team up. I think both teams should move up after this one. You think EP should move up because they eek out a win against a Class A team?? Granted Hermantown is good, but EP is 5 times the size and supposedly so great, my gues...

Re: East Ridge cheap plays knocks out WBL Garren David 4 sea

Last week during there second matchup Garren David was checked brutaly from behind(no penalty was given) giving him his 3rd concussion of the year. Sadly he will be spending the rest of his senior year on the bench. I guess I cant question if the check was illegal or not, because I wasnt there. Usu...
