If so, every association would be utilizing it. I think the majority of boards are constantly striving to improve their tryout processes. I'm af...

Somewhat sarcastically ....... In a nutshell there is kid who through his father posting on here is not fullfilled enough by association hockey and wants more. It's not the parent (cough cough) who wants more it's the kid and we should do whatever our kids want because we owe that to them and, afte...

Re: reality

Otherwise, the system here really ain't that bad..if you're awesome, you play A...if you're 14 and awesome you play Varsity (see Jordan Schroeder) That's just flat out idealistic thinking. You mean you can't think of a single instance in your association where a kid that clearly deserved to make an...

Grand Rapids was minus their starting goalie...Dom G. Also missing most of their varsity players lost to baseball for the summer. Agreed....Lourdes, Marshall game was very good.

getoveryourbadself - No, this is not a joke. It's not that we are THAT confident in our child. My family has been involved in hockey for a very long time and we have learned to roll with the punches. Sorry, it's just that when someone rolls int from out of state declaring his 11-12 year old goalten...

Starting to wonder if this is a joke................NOBODY can be that confident in a 11-12 year old goalie. If so...."I'll have what he's having"

Might want to consider the AAA Wolfpack

Because the goalie position is somewhat unique, it might be prudent to seek a program that has a "hole" in their teams where they can really use a solid netminder. My hunch is that the best place for your son is not a community where their youth teams are ranked Top 10. Well said. Having ...

I agree with Woodbury. Also decent options would be Stillwater (East), Blaine, Centennial (North East), Apple Valley (find out the pros and cons of the two high schools there), Lakeville (South), Maple Grove (West - Osseo-Maple Grove have combined). You have tons of great options. I would be careful...

What state are you moving from? We were in a similar situation in the last 5 years. It's good that you are asking questions, particularly since the goalie position can be problematic when trying to gain footing in a new organization.
