When will the fans and parents here in Hastings finally realize this program needs some new blood? What a waste! Year after year it's the same old story. Again this year this team has some talent, but as has been the case for what. 15 years now? No one who has any idea how to lead and bring a bunch ...

Well, whatever the reason Byfuglein left. The fact is, had he stayed and played Mn High School Hockey there's no way he's riding down Madison ave kissing the Cup. I'm curious also who the Latest Raider is that's leaving? I don't recall much on the current Raider team or anyone in the next couple of ...

Taylor Chorney and Michael Gergen were both from Hastings and attended SSM as well. Chorney is now in Edmonton playing for the Oiler's. Gergen was a Pittsburg draftee but he's now in Europe i think. Also, i'm not so sure the reason Willie Raskob left Hastings is because his mom thinks he's too good?...

They do things a bit differently here in the Deep South. I get that part. What i don't get is how did the hockey fans of this once proud program let things slide so fast and so hard? And how can they just sit back and watch it all happen year after year?

Y.B your just another one of these guys that thinks you know it all about what's right and what's wrong about everyone else's program. Yet You don't live here nor do you follow Raider hockey. You just don't have any thing better to do than sit on high school hockey forum all day and write about thin...

Sorry boys but Hastings has no coaching and the kids gave up a month ago. Sports guy you have good enthusiasm and i love to listen but i'm not sure where the "Hastings always plays the Hounds tough" comes from? Maybe the mid to late 90's? I think your halucinating. It's great to be enthusi...

We are tired of losing, at least i am. But the problem persists, and it aint going away. The A.D here has no spine. Theres no way he's going to fire one of the good old boy's. No way-no how! Job performance doesn't apply down here. We let you stay as long as you want, as long as you grew up here. Eve...

gototheman i couldn't agree with you more. This program has no passion anymore, and hasn't for 10+ years. How can anyone expect passion from the players when you get none from the coaching staff or the AD at the school? Losing here has become accepted. When does job performance start to enter the pi...

Well the way i see it the pressure is already on us. E.R is a team we have to beat. There are very few teams worse than us. The good thing is it looks like we might have a couple of decent young players this year. The bad things: Our defense is terrible from top to bottem. Not much improvement here ...

As has been the case all year J.Gliesner gave us a chance. And contrary to what others have said about Casper.. although he played ok, he was NO match for Gliesner. And although we played better offensively than in recent games defensively we were very poor again. You can't keep giving up 45-50 shot...

Yea, i would be someone that cares. I'm not sure about any of the people you mentioned. As far as i know they all left for greener pastures. Why would they care anymore? All i know is i've been a Hastings fan all my life. At this point there is alot more bad about the WHOLE program than there is goo...

I never said we didn't want him. I call it as i see it. You don't have to agree. I'm not real concerned about what he did last summer. I watched him as a pee wee-He did some good things-That doesn't make him a great player today. I simply said. In my opinion he played better last year and he hasn't ...

You watched him in the summer? Hmmm.. Since when did the summer matter? How many points did he have this fall? I think he fell short of expectations. You might want to check. We've given up more goals than most of the other teams in the conference and we have maybe a top 5 goalie in the state. If no...

My fear is i think we got W.B- Woodbury-Duluth East- all coming up. By all accounts those 3 could all be running time. Yes at times they have battled, but so few and far between. And let's be honest here if it weren't for Jonnie Gliesner this team could easily be sitting with 1 or 2 wins . No one se...

I would agree for sure the blue/gold raiders lack talent, but it seems like almost every year that Welch has been here, except for a little spurt in the 90's We win or tie a few early in the season that we shouldn't, then we progressivley get worse? Why? That to me says the coaching is lacking, big ...

I would agree it's not Gliesner's fault. He without question, if there is such a thing on this team, is the MVP. As far a Kuhn. Just one man's opinion, but i think he played better last year. He's an above average skater and that's about it. There giving up far too many goals and chances to say that...

I was at the game tonight and must admit i had to leave early. I couldn't watch it anymore. I've been a Hastings fan for a long time, and this may be the worst defensive hockey team Hastings has ever had. Very weak. All of them. Usually you get 1 or 2 that at least make up for the rest. I don't reme...
