Hastings is coming off a pretty lackluster performance against Forest Lake last night. They had a tough time getting the puck out of their own zone and produced very little offense with only 13 shots on goal.

The 1st line will have to step it up a notch, but in the end Stillwater is a little deeper and I see them going home with the win.

5-2 Stillwater

I feel bad for the kids in Hastings. I saw them play and there was no passion by the team or the coaches. The girls program is booming due to a great girls coach who has been very active with the youth. The boy's coach does nothing but yell at refs and chases the high end players out of town. They got hammered last night and there was not one adjustment made throughout the game. I also heard, but this could be only rumor that one of there higher skilled players quit the team last night after the game. Hastings people where are you? is this o.k. for you all.

8-2 Stillwater- Final.

Not pretty. Raiders again did not play well. At all.

Shots 31-18 STR, and that 18 for Hastings was generous.

Gut check time for Hastings.

gototheman i couldn't agree with you more. This program has no passion anymore, and hasn't for 10+ years. How can anyone expect passion from the players when you get none from the coaching staff or the AD at the school? Losing here has become accepted. When does job performance start to enter the picture? Apparently the coaches here are not held accountable for anything. I need a job like that!.. Collect my paycheck, but no pressure to succeed. Doesn't get any easier than that.
I can't say i feel too sorry for the players who stick around through. They have the same opputunities as those who left the program before them. Why would you stick around?? I sat and watched as several of our top end players have left town the last 8- 10 years and was dissapointed like many others, but now i'm like, "good for them" Because they saw the demise coming. What is sad is people in this town continue to make excuses. It's always "wait till next year's crop of good bantams coming in". The problem is by the time there seniors theve gone backwards instead of forward.
