Good to hear your son had a blast. I truly believe Junior Gold hockey is the most fun playing hockey you can have. Less practicing and more games. It's laid back but still very good hockey, and a great place to compete without having to worry about whether or not your not going to play the next day.

No one cares who came in second. But a silver medal means second place in my eyes. Don't know how you could argue otherwise.

My prediction for this tourney: Wayzata beats Edina in the championship 3-1.

Here's some news: There are certain parents for one of the teams that has paid to have the state police at the upcoming state game. That shows how out of hand it was last time. I am not kidding either. This takes JG hockey to a new height. This will be a great battle.

Luckily this will all be over when Edina beats ER in a week.

A. Maybe no one is pointing out Edina, because it was ER's fans that were flicking off players, and grabbing them and calling them "punks"

C. When Edina is up 3-4 goals at the end of the game, watch for ER to play very dirty and take runs

That was not Edina's best game at all. You don't score 10 goals against a team and still let up 5, that's just sloppy. Edina's back check was real weak, a lot of standing around and a lack of hustle.

Edina 6, Wessys 2 Wessys Boys is easily the cheapest team I've seen play in a long time. I counted 4-5 times when one of their players cross-checked an Edina player in the head or the neck. Edina has two solid goalies, don't know which one youre thinking of. Aslesen and Young.

Shattuck's JGA team is usually made up of 9-10th graders who are pretty talented but at the same time very small. They can skate and move the puck, but they can easily be taken off the puck. This is what I recall from last year.

Braemar West in Edina. Always pretty full, lots of banners, pretty old school. Overall a good atmosphere. Also like the old rink at Richfield, and the Coliseum.

Blueblood has got some good hockey knowledge! So don't hate!

As for Blaine, seems like they haven't done anything I don't know how you could argue that they are good at all. They tied EP, who is obviously pretty bad this year. Other than that they have lost a lot of their games.
