DECC
Nothing like the DECC during the 7AA semis and title game. I've been to the Colesium once for a couple semi-final games a few years ago(Maple Grove/Anoka, Centennial/Hill-Murray[2007]). There's nothing like being at the Holiday downtown Duluth and seeing the sunrise over Lake Superior, getting my starbucks at the street level of the hotel, then taking the skyway over 1-35 to the DECC and watching the lobby fill to full capacity 1.5 hours before the game.

Some interesting places:
Park Rapids, do they still have the trailer houses??
Bagley, always seemed so small, how about them two level locker rooms?
Benson, a grainery...perfect
Detroit Lakes, highest boards anywhere. Feels like you're jumping off a cliff when you jump the boards...and the wall opposite the stands...a wall..no glass.
The old rink in TRF. Locker rooms in the basement.....the puck may "stall' on the viewing end of the rink...watch from the lobby through the windows directly to the ice. History.

I totally agree with you on that. I remember as a kid playing there and walking underneath those stands to the locker rooms.freighttrain wrote:for how much I dislike SSP I have to admit that since Wakota took the stands out on the locker room side it just doesnt feel the same to me. It feels empty. I miss the way it use to be.Jr gold beast wrote:Wakota. No doubt about it

IRA Civic Center in G Rapids is great. The stands are very close to the ice and it gets wild in there. Little Ralph in TRF is an amazing building. I can't imagine how wild that place gets for a Roseau v. Moorhead section championship. Couple others the Hibbing Memorial, Aldrich, and The Gardens up in Warroad.
