^ No need to get that sarcastic, but yeah Coon Rapids has been just plain bad for too long. They have far more hockey potential than Cooper ever will have. Hopefully the kids from that good Pee Wee A team a season ago will stay on, but I guess Aus is a great coach to play for as far as I understand...

Loveitorleaveit.....Any predictions? St.Cloud will walk the rest of this one. They have all the tools including coaching. Elk River isn't that good and Coon Rapids coaching isn't good enough to get them through. Misfit toys! Misfit toys? Then where does that land your B2 player  I won't charge...

Pauly was put into a tough position. He has to protect his team. What do you do when the other team is out to hurt your players? When the ref blows the whistle, it's too late. At least in the pro game, fighting takes care of this BS. SLP has some nice players and a few bad apples. The same bad appl...

Coon Rapids dominated the entire game and had plenty of opportunities to put this game away early, but could not hit the net. Andover came from behind 2 to 1 with 5 minutes left in the game and scored 2 quick goals and a empty netter Haha r u jokeing? Andover dominated the second half of the second...

One of the problems is that you have to declare so early. It would be nice to be able to set up some scrimmages to get a better feel for where your team would be able to play and then declare. I'm sure this would be a schedulers nightmare, but isn't it about the kids? Does MN Hockey allow B1 teams t...

The stress level of parents that have kids on the bubble is not just a city issue. Outstate there can be even more at play; smaller associations not only have fewer kids, but few resources - the difference in development opportunity offered to a kid that skates on the squirt or peewee A team with a...

I heard last night that CR will lose their goaltender and 4-5 of their top skaters to HS. Looking at their HS team, these kids could be playing varsity by the start of the season......[/quote Max... you might want to check back with your source/sources. A Bantam team will not be losing 4-5 skaters ...

With all this talk about people fielding new A teams or associations not being able to produce enough players for three teams does this mean that there will be less then 16 B1 teams this year or do you think that there will still be two sections for B1? I heard that there will be around a dozen, de...

Captains Practice and Fall Sports
Does the MSHSL allow players to participate in Captains Practice if they are playing a fall sport? I say yes because Cpts is not an "official" HS sport. Others say they can't????? Also, what the heck happened to Cpts Practice? Back when I played it was the Captains running some drills and ...

In associations that have cosed tryouts - these clinics do have noses pressed to the glass all of September, and it does become clear to the parents, and coaches, either on the ice, or in the stands who has been skating since July, and grown 4 inches. It also, makes it obvious which kids haven't sk...

A perfect example of a board jumping at a couple parent complaints. Unfortunately this happens all over the place. This is completely ridiculous. OMGHA was trying to provide an opportunity for all the players to get some ice time before tryouts and even get some time with a high quality coach. Not a...
