Goalies of Tomorrow

Post by Puck Penguin »

Could anyone give me any information about this program? I saw a scout at a game last night with that on his jacket, so I was curious about it.

If this is the young lady in net vs. BSM, she was outstanding. Best 'tender I saw in the tournament. Looks like a big time prospect to me.

That's her. Had a phenominal sophomore season. She will just continue to get better.

8th Grade goalies making an impact

Post by thenewguy »

I wrote in on the 8th grade site also. After watching the North Metro goalie play, I began to search other 8th graders who played a major role on their varsity teams.
Chelsea Laden - Lakeville South
* very quick, might be the best one in her class
761 min played 4-11-1 2.94 goals against .911%
plays in a very tough conference
Sam Stark - Northfield
*1164 minutes played 11-14-0 3.46 goals against .897%
not bad numbers for playing in a tough conference on a below than
average team
Keshia Reuvers - Owatonna
*7-12-0 3.05 goals against .909%

Again, good numbers for a below .500 team in a pretty decent conf
I looks like it is going to be a very good class for goalies in the future, who else is out there and is this the first wave of girls who have played goalie since U10 plus early goalie school training.

I also posted this in the other thread:

"Also watch for Tianna Press. She played in goal for Hopkins' Bantam A team this year, and may decide to do so again next year as a 9th grader. She attends Benilde-St. Margaret's."

Will be one to watch in this class when she finally does switch over to girls.

The backup goalie for Blake is an 8th grader, not many games yet but sounds like the coach likes her chances. Related to Hopkins goalie with same last name.

The Billadeau's, Chloe (Blake) and Kallie (Hopkins), are cousins. Chloe will be moving from U14 to U16 with the Icecats this offseason.
