I think ol' GR19GR19 wrote:If Brainerd loses to another weak opponent, it won't matter how they do vs CEC and East. The Warriors almost made me begin to think JLS 81 was right until the Forest Lake game, which proved Brainerd isn't there yet, and JLS 81 is as wrong as ever. Don't learn do ya boy!

Focus!
Brainerd has work to do - they have the skills (or so it appears) but need to get focused on what it takes to win! The game was officiated by father Gueido Sarduchi and a couple of his most loyal alter boys. They called an extremely tight game - tighter than sister mary elizabeth on the day she took her vows, if you know what I mean! I am not saying they called a bad game, although the sneezing and groping penalties were firsts for me! And, I don't think the calls were biased. Brainerd needs to get some power in their power play! Last night they were 1 for 8, actually 2 for 8 as Tech scored a man short goal on the brainerd power play. Of the 4 goals that Tech scored on the brainerd goalie, one was the above man-short goal, one was a 5 on 4 power play and 2 were 5 on 3 power plays. It's tough to win a game from the penalty box. If these are the new rules, the brainerd boys need to get their power play in order and capitalize on the opportunities that come their way.

Hoppe vs. Olson
Are you just saying that because he is a key player or do you really think he is better than Drew Olson. I saw Olson play earlier this year and I thought he was outstanding.great hockey mind wrote:Brainerd is missing their best defensemen, Jarred Hoppe. He missed the Fergus, forrest lake, and Tech game. Brainerd is not very deep on the blue line and miss Jarred alot. Hopefully he is back next week. they are a different team with-out him.
Made the trip to see this game, especially Brainerd. One key player wouldn't have changed the outcome, Brainerd appeared to be a very average hockey club. From what I had read I thought Brainerd would dominate this game. Tech is without a doubt the better of the two teams. I was looking forward to seeing the game between Little Falls and Brainerd. Think I'll just save the gas and take in a metro game. Saw Little Falls play earlier this season. Can't see them having much of a problem winning this one.

Syd - Truth hurts, eh? That club from your hometown ends up breaking your heart every year - just wait until they lose the CLC crown to the Flyers this year as well as lose the head/head matchup vs them on 1-18-07. Any chance you, Ernie, Morris, 'Scout and Snake will be @ Sheps prior to the tilt? Looks like the Flyers 1st line is too much for anybody to handle..................................................................................................except for Virginia!
