What are your thoughts...

Brian Elliot, but by stating all-around, I assume you are looking for a defenseman/forward.

I would say either Ryan Dingle of Denver or Alex Goligoski of the Gophers. Both are two-way talents and experienced players. Not sure how Chad Rau even enters this conversation at this point.

I disagree with Cross Bar. Rau is a nice player. But, not the best all around in the WCHA.

Personally, I like T.J. Oshie. Works both ends of the ice, is a young team leader and gets the crowd going whenever he gets the puck.

Kyle Okposo is hands down the most dominant scorer in the WCHA. Too bad he won't stay another year.
Third times a charm.

I like Casey Borer from St. Cloud State. He is not a big time scorer, but he can lay the body down, and it's very tough to get around him from what I've seen.

Kyle Okposo, T.J. Oshie, Chad Rau, and Alex Goligoski, they are all very talented...My pick Goligoski, plays just like Ballard.

Borer hasn't had a very good year so far. He's starting to turn it around, But even by his own admission he has had a bad year.

Borer needs to stay out of the box and quit coughing up the puck-has improved though since early in the year

Toews from UND....he will be a much better NHL player than Oshie...he has been struggling with an injury all season....but he is so smart on the ice from what ive seen...very strong skater and great shooter

Not as well known, I guess. But Andrew Gordon from SCSU is definately one of the best in the league. Not to take anything away from Nodl or Lasch, but Gordon is the best on St. Cloud's team.

I'm going with Alex Goligoski. He is more than solid in his own end and also does quite a bit at the other end of the ice as well. He will make an already blooming Pittsburgh lineup even better when he gets there.

11-1-2 record
1.77 GAA
.934 SV%

For a guy who's taken a lot of criticism, Mr. Briggs might need to be recognized as a serious Hobey candidate.

The thing holding him back is the fact the he splits time with Frazee. He's not going to get any consideration when he only plays in half the team's games.

Especially when Frazee is putting up very good numbers as well. Makes the defense look really good, which doesn't really help a goaltender who is being considered for such a big award.
