So many All State teams...
I would think that players that appear on all three all-state teams likely are the true All-State players, those that appear on two or just the MGHCA one are also highly deserving.

All three are out now, and I believe it would be best if the papers just recognized the MGHCA (coaches assn) as the all state, but they likely have to satisfy their readership. Like I've said before, AP is more in favor of outstate paper/writer input, PP more about its readership area (even some W metro kids and outstate may be left out).

I bleieve the Star Trib used to do "all-Metro" teams, and maybe still will - but I would actually like it better if papers did that instead of making up their own geographically biased all-state, and the AP should recognize the MGHCA as the official version too - but don't obvously...

Best All State Sources...

I believe many of the All State groups do their homework... I'd rank them this way...

1. MGHCA
2. Pioneer Press
3. Star Tribune
4. AP

Based on doing their homework...

Hockeyhead
