Stillwater VS Edina
Just wondering how my Edina team will do today vs a stillwater after being upset yesterday? Can we make it Number 2 upset?

Without having seen the ER / Stillwater game, not knowing how either team played I would expect a strong effort from the Ponies...on the rebound. In that regard, I'm thinkin' it may have been a "good" loss at the right time for Stillwater...shake 'em up, motivate them, learn from it etc. etc. We'll See. I would hope that's how they "use" the defeat.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ookyone at: 12/28/05 8:50 am

Stillwater v. Edina
Looking forward to this game. I'm going up a little early to catch it!

SportsHuddle shows Stillwater a 5-1 winner over Edina. Like to hear thoughts on the game from anyone at the SSR if they feel so inclined. At least I should be able to get to the consolation title game.

Re: Stillwater v. Edina
It's not easy being green this week - lost yesterday to Hill-Murray, 2-1. As in our tie with them early this season, we outplayed them in my opinion. Edina had the first goal waved off when the ref decided he didn't see it go in the net. From my seat at center ice I could see the puck in the net, beyond the goal line, but I don't wear the stripes, so it's "no goal." :-( That did change the game as we seemed to have a let down after that and moreso when H-M scored.

Today Stillwater took it to us. Jones figured on 4 of the Ponies' 5 goals. Edina's been mixing up the lines (again). Forwards playing Defense, D's play F, everybody but the goalie was in a new spot. A lot of coast-to-coast puck handling by a couple of Edina players but as usual, the puck carrier goes behind the other team's net and comes back empty handed, often as not without even getting off a shot. We're all a bit frustrated. Our scoring seems to have gone in the dumper since about mid-December (and the Wayzata loss)...we haven't scored more than 1 goal in any game lately.

On the bright side, we've still not been shut out yet this year ... KNOCKING ON WOOD! (... but whining all the while)

SIGH...on to the toilet bowl Thursday!

Stillwater took it to 'em today. Edina didn't play bad, there just wasn't any stopping Jones today. I think yesterday's loss to Elk River didn't sit very well and Edina was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Stillwater's girls were flying, and they really created havoc in front of Edina's net. Also, I don't know if I've seen a better shot this year than Chelsea Jones' shot.

Stillwater was in control the whole game. How they lost to ER is hard to understand but they did control that game outshooting them something like 36 to 18. Chelsey Jones is was dominating as usual. This team is deep and talented.
