Grand Rapids has a tough stretch in the east metro this weekend. A Friday night against the Bears and a Saturday afternoon game against Hill.

I know last season WB played GR on Friday evening and Hermantown on Saturday, and Hill played GR on Saturday. I'd be in favor of Hill playing both of them on the same weekend. One benefit is we don't have to hear the "Well, yeah, but they played the night before and Hill didn't so..."

You won’t hear that from me. WBL and Hill is a great trip for the Rapids.

A few weeks ago when Maple Grove went up and played Rapids I listened on the radio and heard their coach request to make it a yearly tilt up north instead of a home and away rotation. They played Hermantown on Saturday. He said it’s a great trip that the team and parents love and I know GR was proud to hear that.

Nor a complaint from me. It seems the purpose of the schedule is to ready the team for section and state tournament games. WBL and H-M seems like good preparation for what may (hopefully) come later in the season.

Oh yeah, woohoo! My state tournament tickets arrived yesterday! It is a great time of year.

HM and Rapids scoreless after 1. Casey's had the net off 8-10 times in the first period. But that end at Aldrich is always off, so nothing has came of it. Shots were 13-7 for the Pioneers.

I'm hoping to hold GR to a single goal on this road trip, as well as the one in March.

1-0 HM after two (Tommy Miller). Shots 27-16 HM after 2. All the good chances that period seemed to be for green. Casey playing really well. Hanggi with 3 nets knocked off that period (on the bad side) and Casey with only one.

HM with 3 third period goals (including an empty netter) to pick up the win 4-0 over Grand Rapids. Rapids actually had some good chances in the third but didn't have any puck luck. Would be a fun one in St Paul to see these two again.

Shakopee up 2-0, on the road, over Hermantown with 12 minutes left in the 2nd period.

I'll always take a solid win over Rapids, no matter what their nickname is.

This is the first I've seen Zasada on the second line.

I looked for the game, but MNHockey.tv wouldn't load the stream. Dumb.

Moorhead scores in the first 20 seconds of the game and then late to lead 2-0 after 1 over Wayzata.

Shakopee has outplayed Hermantown most of the night, but blows a 2 goal lead in the third to head to OT 2-2. -- Hermantown scores with under a minute left in OT. Shots were 44-21 for Shakopee.

Oof, Shakopee couldn't even beat that cute little A team?

Its been a chippy one. I think they said on Rink on Fire that 3 kids on CDH were from the WBL association. They claimed it may be a bigger rivalry right now than WBL and HM. I don't much care, but has been a good game so far.

I'm on watching on MNHockey, but I'm pretty sure there was. Try youtube and search for WB. I saw something on twitter about it yesterday.

It’s been physical but the refs are letting them play for the most part.
Timmons was on the Bears last year.

White Bear certainly wasn't impressive looking in the 2-1 loss.

Just a thought after looking at the box score three 5 minute majors at the buzzer for cdh I wonder how many games max Anderson will get for that one 🤔
