7AA tonight tuesday

Post by elliott70 »

Class AA - Section 7 Boys Hockey
Duluth East (2) vs Duluth Marshall (7) at Heritage Arena 7:00 PM
C-E-C (3) vs Grand Rapids (6) at Cloquet 7:00 PM
Elk River/Zimmerman (5) vs Forest Lake (4) at Forest Lake 7:00 PM
St. Francis (8) vs Andover (1) at Andover 7:00 PM

Marshall could(?) give DEast a game for a bit.
CEC and GRapids should be good.
Elk River should crush FLake but will lose.

And Andover cruises.

It's been 26 years since East lost a section quarterfinal game.

Will this be the year?

Well we can certainly hope the underdog can pull it off.

This is about the only match up in the state where I would pull for the private over the public.

Marshall easily not over DEast :P
CEC over GRapids with the road trip and got some horses back.
Elks over FLake

I was cheering for East but I totally get what you're saying. I have a lot of respect for Marshall. Just the fact that they're playing East in a 7AA playoff game shows how far their program has come. That's not to take anything away from Hermantown vs. Ely in Hermantown tonight, of course. I'm sure those kids can use that as a springboard to some great things. They're all just kids, you take the positives and build off of it!

Oops, just had a chance to look at the scores, Hermantown played Hibbing? Thought Ely was the low seed. 13-0, what a game! Be all you can be, Reach for the stars, right? What a great lesson for these kids. Don't change a thing Hermantown. You are grooming tomorrow's leaders and the country owes you a huge debt of gratitude!

Hermantown plays Virginia which won 5-4 in 3 OT over Eveleth. I don’t expect a close game. Hermantown was missing five players due to illness the first time they played.

Shocking that a Hermantown homer would root for a successful AA public HS vs a PRIVATE SCHOOL (See Cadets) Good stuff. Seriously....Jealous much? Thanks for the chuckle!
