Looking for a good destination, overnight camp to send a couple of boys to, about PeeWee age. They all play summer hockey but there is nothing like going off to camp. Hockey should be the main focus but not the only focus, we want them to have some fun off-ice experiences too. It would be nice if the skill level was of good quality, these boys all played PW A last year, but I realize anybody can pay and attend these camps.
I've looked into a few destination camps throughout the state. There doesn't seem to be the number there used to be, most everything I find is day camps. What I've come across are:
Jensen's Heartland Camp - it looks full but that's ok because it wasn't our first choice anyway.
Minnesota Hockey Schools - probably the best known, but also more expensive than other alternatives.
Breezy Point Hockey Camp - appears to fit that balance we're looking for at a decent price.
Minnesota State Maverick Camp - I like the idea of going to the college camps. Used to go to the UND one myself, way back when. Concern is that they put Squirt, Pee Wees, and Bantams in one large group. Is that correct?
UMD Bulldog Camp - another one we really like, college campus, but the timing isn't the best due to other obligations.
Anybody have any experience with this they could share? We're looking hard at the Breezy Point Camp because it seems to fit all our criteria. Is it a good camp? Any other suggestions.

Over the years our kids have gone to: IMHO this is how they ranked:SCBlueLiner wrote:Looking for a good destination, overnight camp to send a couple of boys to, about PeeWee age. Heartland Hockey Camp - this was by far their favorite camp, both for the hockey and the fun stuff to do. Worth the $$$; lots of memories; say what you want about Steve Jensen - the guy is passionate about his camp/hockey
Shattuck Pro Development Camp - intense, especially dry land; best for older kids that are very serious about the hockey
UND Hockey Camp - gasp - yes, we did - it was fun Englestad is a great arena
UMD's Hockey Camps - ok -- good for a hockey work out; nothing really memorable for them about it.
Hope that helps
