Could this be true?
After tryouts and team selected by outside judges, coach gets to take 2 "coaches pick" players.
Result is an uneven number balance at A and B levels, and 2 players who clearly were not chosen in the first place to play A for a reason. Nepotism and politics.
Lots of grumbling going on amongst the parents on both teams. I've always said no way that happens, but the abilities of the 2 are so markedly off point I'm starting to reconsider.
Does this kind of policy actual exist in some associations, or are the hockey parents just typical conspiracy proponents upset about playing time?
Please share.

You're describing what happened to a District 2 U10 program this year.Nevertoomuchhockey wrote:After tryouts and team selected by outside judges, coach gets to take 2 "coaches pick" players.
