MN Hockey-Official start time to association hockey?

Should their be an official start date for Association hockey? Some start in Sept some after MEA weekend. I know the age of three sport athletes has left us but we seem to be at the age of 1 sport athlete now. Constant fighting and bickering between sport teams in high school and even at youth level. MN Hockey and USA hockey both say better hockey players and athletes are made from playing different youth sports. Yet they do nothing to encourage it. My question is should they or would that mean the end of association hockey as we know it and the greater proliferation of AAA and club hockey in MN
