Minnesota Tide playing in the Bean Pot Tournament in Boston

Post by Coachk »

Does anyone known where the Minnesota Tide AAA girls team are from? I see they are playing in a Boston tournament next weekend and know who the Blades are that are playing there as well, but never heard of the Tide.

How did the MN Teams do in Boston? Was it worth the trip as far as level of competition?

It was an outstanding tournament, with an unbelievable amount of talent. The Blades, Baldes 98 and MN Tide (made up of Illinois Mission and MN players) each only won 1 out of the 4 games they played. The Blades 2000 team I believe won 2 and tied 2, the Minnesota Blades 99 won 3 and lost 1 and lost in the semi final to Assabet Valley 4 to 1.

Great glad to hear MN Girls found some top talent or competition. Looked there were a number of Canadian Teams there also. Are any of these Teams playing at NAHA in Burlington, VT over Labor Day?

I will contact someone who might have the list of teams and PM you when I do. My daughters team will not be, but I will try and find out for you.

The teams participating at the NAHA tourney are posted here:

The complete game schedule is also posted but rosters are not. There are 4 Minnesota teams playing in the U19 division (Ice Cats, Whitecaps Black, Whitecaps White, Northern Starzz) and 1 in the U17 division (Ice Cats)

Great this has been the top summer tournament as far as D1 Scouting and level of competition. Best of luck to all the Teams and Players!
