Roseville vs White Bear Lake

Split season series...I like the Raiders in this one...thought they played inspired hockey vs Tartan... :)

Bears will skate hard and should win by two but if the Raiders get an early lead like the Polars did all bets are off...I got "da bears" in this one

They played Tartan..

WBL will win. They got that little scare out of the way against NSP.

Hill vs WBL section final.

You can listen to this game on http://TheHornWBL.com, just so ya'll know.

Hopefully Roseville's student section can get some more students and top their 3 rows of students at Aldrich on Saturday. Pretty embarrassing support of the team from the school if you ask me. I think the "We can't hear you!" chant from Tartan was actually literal.

Also, props to Tartan for their support of the Titans Hockey team this year. Amazing student section at Aldrich.

ZH, do you know if this game is televised on one of the public access channels?

CTV (Roseville) and TV19 (White Bear Lake) will be there, but I don't think either will be broadcast live. I know 100% that TV19 in White Bear Lake will NOT carry the game live and I am about 90% sure that CTV won't. But you will be able to watch it on tape delay some time later this week or next week on the channels.

The Bears came out slow and sloppy last game but I'm thinking that was because they are so young. I have a feeling they will score one early and not look back. I hope Roseville brings a bunch of students because I know that WBL will have a sea of black clothed students tomorrow!

You are easy to listen to, man. Last game I felt like your co-host was talking about too much random stuff, but you've both been good tonight. I have a relative on this year's WBL team, so I'm hoping you keep this lead tonight and beat Hill.

It's final

WBL 3, Roseville 2

Shots 40-20 favoring Roseville. Gorman stood on his head

Caught the 3rd period on the Horn...nice work, Zach.

I can't think of any better way to round out the section tournaments than with Hill-White Bear in the late game at the Coliseum on Friday night. I remember how much fun we had with that one on this forum two years ago...

That said, WBL had better bring their A game. I was surprised that Roseville outshot them so heavily.

Same here.

WB's goalie (Gorman) certainly "stood on his head" in this match.

Roseville deserved to win tonight but was denied by gorman. Well done in goal.

Bears were downright bad for majority of the game. Transition defense, or lack there of will catch up with them against the mighty catholics.

Wbl was outplayed, outcoached, outmuscled and found a way to survive.

Good luck against hill.

If we play em 10 times, they might win 9......

Roseville had lots of shots from the outside that didn't amount to much, however, WBL had lots of trouble clearing the zone, lot's of pressure on the young team.

WBL was outcoached and outplayed in this one. Strong goaltending, and Roseville not capatilizing on some grade A chances were the only reasons for a WBL win.

I think the strong two man forecheck really caught them offguard, it shouldn't, but if I was coaching against WBL that's exactly how I would attack them. They were so bad tonight getting the puck out of their own end. Transition D was awful as well, and Roseville simply outmuscled them off the puck. All in all, a tough loss for the Raiders.

Some positives going into Friday: Gorman was great tonight, the second line I thought played fairly well, and they shouldn't need motivation to get up against your rival. (Unlike tonight) Oh, and the Bears still have that Jake Wahlin kid, well, at least one more game...

What was up with WBLs on-again/off-again forecheck?? Only line that forechecked hard for WBL was their 3rd. For most of the game, WBL just let Roseville waltz right out of their D zone. Meanwhile, Roseville forechecked the heck out of WBL and kept them bottled up for long stretches. Their first goal was a great example of this. I guess I don't get the WBL "strategy".

If you can get out-shot that bad and still win, I like your chances against HM on Friday

For awhile I was wondering if Gorman was good or just capitalizing on a weak part of the schedule. Any goalie who can stop that many shots with weak D in front of him deserves some props.
