My 3 kids have played for 15 years in the same small town hockey assn and high school team.
Over this 15 years we have had some really good teams and some VERY poor teams.
We have had pretty much the same set of coaches at the upper levels, parents, great and not so great, at the lower levels this whole time. Nothing really changed in the program.
The talk around the rink is always about this town or that town's way of doing things.. how their "program" is better than "our program".
It has dawned on me that during the times that we had a great "program" we had bigger, faster, stronger, smarter coachable kids... Go figure.
Who determines the success of your program?
Who gets the credit/blame?
