Two+ years of listening to hshockeywatcher say that STA was at the right competition level at A.... And each year they played and competed with the SSM prep team.

What a joker!

They should be forced to turn in their plastic trophies and be banned from the post season this year..

Wouldn't it be interesting if they can knock off the number one ranked 18U team in the country.

Not a big STA fan but I'll pull for them tonight.

My head is saying that I'm hoping SSM can win so we don't have to listen to everyone on here balk about how overrated the program is or anything along those lines. Or compare recruiting of SSM vs the Hills/STA's/BSMs of the world.

But I'm really hoping STA can pull one out of their butt and win one for the gipper...

I see where SSM's two leading scorers are both Minnesota kids. Tyler Vesel (#10 - 57 points) is from Rochester and Ryan Norman (#11 - 51 points) is from Maplewood. It'll be interesting to see how they each do against STA.

Man, you must really have some blinders on when you read my posts if you think that has been my opinion...
They played once, two years ago and Shattuck won 8-4...

It should be a good game. Both teams play disciplined hockey, and STA played them tough last year (SSM went on to win the National Championship). With home ice advantage, Shattuck has the edge. SSM 6 - STA 3.

Actually they played last year Jan. 18 2012. 4-2 Shattuck. It was 2-2 late in the 3rd. Sabres scored twice very late in the 3rd to win.

Hopefully it will be a good game

1-0 SSM after one.

Webcast is marginal, with no audio.

Can anyone tell what is on the Shattuck Jerseys? Not the classic diagonal SSM.

You would think SSM would have a scoreboard that works reliably.

STA equalizes with 6:15 left on a nice drop pass and subsequent five hole.

End of regulation.

SSM coaches and players leave the bench.

"Let them play" chant commences.

Overtime Incoming.

Funny the way all the SSM players lined up for the handshake, like they didn't want any part of overtime!

Scored the winner with 2:05 left in OT, just after SSM missed on a clean breakaway.

Overall I thought STA got stronger as the game went on...

STA wins in OT, but for the most part it was a boring game. Nice win for them, but all it means is that they beat a team that a win will not count. AHA did that also, it is used for bragging only.
Congratulations to them. We will see you next year in the big boys tourney.

Think BSM also beat them
