What happend to trading Pins/Patches?

Post by Puck Whisperer »

I have a box full - thought it was cool when I was a little guy. Usually Silver Stick or any other Tourney with Canadian teams. Just thought I would get away (briefly) from rankings and scores! I just think it was a cool thing.

A little ceremony after the lineups were called and everyone skated across Blue to Blue to do the exchange. OG 85?

Whenever my kids have played Canadian teams, they still bring the pins. It's too bad that US teams don't seem to carry on this tradition. Maybe more of our teams should make the trek up North for tourneys. It seems like a one-way road, at least during the regular season.
