Prior Lake, PWA and PWB State Champs, must have a few horses left. Did their whole bubble move up? Bubble (numbers and strength) might not be the right term as I believe the association is still growing.

I am not from Grand Rapids, nor do I grow up there...but you need to add them to this conversation.

Their SQA team from two years ago finished 3rd at the Fargo International and they added arguably one of the best '00 skaters from Elk River.

Minnetonka finished second in that tournament - this team returns everyone and at least one spectacular move-in from Hopkins (I've gotten in trouble by calling him top 10...so let's just call him spectacular).

These two teams need to be mentioned with OMG and CC as contenders for #2.

My pre-season T10 comes out in 2 weeks.

STMA, Woodbury, Lakeville south, Duluth and Orono could be up there too.

Was not Lakeville North having one of the top 5 skaters in the state?

My top 5...
1. Edina (Best of the bunch. Not. Even. Close.)
2. STMA (Strong goaltending and D, tough as a group 2 years ago, and returning several players from last year’s highly ranked PWs.)
3. OMG (Top 10 two years ago, with last year’s PWs and Squirts both ranked top 10.)
4. Minnetonka (Lots of returning experience that fared well in Fargo two years ago, plus a move-in from Hopkins. Like they needed it…)
5. Lakeville South (Last year’s PWs and Squirts both ranked top 10. Could put a few others in this position, but it’s a program that has established itself as a consistent contender until proven otherwise.)

Others in the mix for the top 10 in no particular order…
•Wayzata (Going with their top skaters on one team at the AA level rather than split among two teams as previously? Back in the race for a top spot.)
•Grand Rapids (Peaked for the Fargo tourney two years ago, and now stronger with a move-in from ER.)
•White Bear Lake (Led by two second-year forwards and solid goaltending. Runner up to Edina at Velocity’s recent 3x3 tourney.)
•Elk River (Will compete with Centennial for top D10 position.)
•Centennial (Top D10 contender from two years ago. Affect of change in coaching to be seen, if any, and very talented top 3-4 skaters.)
•Stillwater (Can they repeat their strong performance from two years ago?)
•Chaska /Chanhassen (Strong two years ago, and Squirts last year were ranked top 10.)
•Eden Prairie (May be down from two years ago, but underrated.)
•Andover (Just outside top 10 two years ago. Coached by last year’s Bantam A coach who took that team to state.)
•Prior Lake (Another strong team two years ago, and several returners from one of last year’s top ranked PW teams.)

Additional teams that were strong two years ago and/or for others to comment on.

Spehar33, FYI. Chaska/Chanhassen just beat Eden Prairie the other night with their AA and A players. It was their final scrimmage before the final cuts.
CC didn't have their top goalie dressed and some of their best players didn't dress.

EP over CC I heard by 4 or 5 but it really doesn't matter - tryout related team for CC.
