Big game coming up either Friday or Saturday. Can't remember. Huge for 7AA seedings. When these teams play their best they aren't that bad.

Well, I've been right 3 out of 3 predicting winners this season. Looking at the results so far, I'll say: Forest Lake 3 Brainerd 4

im guessing "busch league" is referring to something that is really dumb and not right, something along those lines. so i think what zrockhock is saying is that its dumb that the imported kid from brainerd was the deciding factor in the game on tuesday when in reality if they didnt have them Alex would of won 3-2 cause you can wipe out the empty net goal. just my opinion or thoughts on what that may mean.

So you are saying that Brainerd would of lost if it wasn't for the foriegn kid? That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. How can you predict that Brainerd would of lost if the finlander wasn't there. It could of went a totally different way, you never know. I didn't know that this board was full of fortune tellers??

I think this game will be very interesting and show a little bit of where these teams stand in this crazy section 7AA. I think Brainerd will come out on top because they have better depth and defense. I predict 4-1 brainerd

Brainerd had their hands full with a below average team from puke town. The Deee had more Off than the Off, yet the DEE allowed the boys from puke town to stay in the game. If Brainerd loses this game I think even though it's early, they will be a pretty solid pick for the #6 seed. The reason why is Grand Rapids beat Forest Lake 5-2. GR and CEC played a close game. And there's no way Elk River or Duluth East will be #5 or #6. If Brainerd wins they'll be #5 right now, but still have the ladder open to climb if they win future 7AA games. You peeps follow me?

It's tough to tell though because brainerd hasn't played anyone from the section really until they play Flake this friday who still isn't a respected team in the section. Brainerd will gain no respect by beating them so this game can do nothing for brainerd. I think it is tough to make any kind of rankings in the section until some more teams play each other then just one big game between GR and Clouquet that seems to mean everything in the section right now. Im not coming down on GR at all it was a nice win but let's try not to make too many predictions until some more games get going. Don't forget Brainerd beat a good CEC team early in the season last year and look how they did in the Section.

You're perceiving it wrong. I'm saying this is a big game for Brainerd. It will mean a lot for them to keep pace with CEC, Rapids, East, and Elk River. If Brainerd wins, then I think we know that Forest Lake is most likely not in the top 4 and Brainerd is very much in the thick of things. If Forest Lake wins then Forest Lake is ahead of Brainerd early on. Again, you're right it is early in the year and we will need to see more games to get a clearer picture. I never made a statement against that in my last post. And certain teams just match up differently with one another and this results in outcomes we won't expect. Follow me?

I understand your saying that Brainerd will be in the thick of things if they beat Flake but in your earlier post you said it would give them the 5 spot right now but i just think it is way too early to start comparing teams who havent even played each other and haven't had a chance to prove themself.

I am going to have to say it will be a very close game, but the way Brainerd seemed to move the puck, and get quality shots on Tuesday nite vs. Alex, they will muscle through the Flake rangers. Brainerd 4 Flake 3

Ohfor32 whats with the puketown stuff i mean come on thats pretty lame along with the "shot gun offense", this isnt football. You talk so highly about Brainerd when they havent done anything in the history of high school hockey it seems every single year they get off to a fast start, slip at midseason and go one and out in the playoffs. so im gonna guess that you call alex puketown because of your own insecurites about Brainerd.

Playoffs are gonna be one heck of a dogfight. This is going to be fun! I'd say at least seeds 1-5 possibly 6 have a chance to win the section.

I think teams 5 and 6 are capable of one upset, but history in this section shows if you're not in the top 4 you're not going to the section final. Bottom line is you have to have good goaltending to have a real shot to get to state. I have yet to see a team with an average goalie go to St. Paul. And, by the sounds of it, Brainerd should have a good goalie.

I know CEC and East have quality goaltenders and it sounds like Brainerd and GR will have good goalies but what about ER and FLake. I don't know too much of anything about either of these teams.
