YHH Weekly Rankings (2-13-12)

Post by YouthHockeyHub »

Only one new number 1 in all nine of our rankings....PWA.

Lotsa losses statewide in PWB, a couple newbies in SQB, and an oldie but goodie in U12A. Some great games in Bantam A, especially in D6 made the needle move a little.

District Playoffs should have some serious bearing on next week's rankings.

Bantam B1's ? on Duluth D's at # 10
Do you have 15 thru 20.
Have they been just outside the top 10.
Could you give any info on 15 to 20?

Thanks

HD: I thought of you (the resident B1 expert) when this team popped. Denfeld has had a great last 6 weeks.

We data track about 20 teams at each level. Here are a few from 11-20:

Duluth East, both Stillwaters, Edina Green, Eden Prairie, Jefferson, Rosemount, Mahtomedi.

Hope that helps.

Thanks TS.
I was just wondering if they were close before. They are a good team.
I seen them win and lose. But haven't they all.
Like I have said in the past. 1,2,3 are pretty much what they are. 4 thru 20 could win or lose any day to each other. Or even the top 3. Districts for some are going to be tuff. That B1 East Region may be the hardest to get out of 5 of your top 10 are in that region. If they all make it.

DD wasn't even in the picture. In fact Duluth East was the better of the two the first half of the season...they were the the little engine that could. Two weeks ago they made it to 12 and with Jefferson hitting the skids they popped. Probably faster than I thought.

I believe you are right, the top 3 have distance from the next 3, and then after those 6 it's a free for all.

I saw that Region and just about cried.

I think when push comes to shove the districts and regions are tougher tournaments than state.

Have a good one HD.

BT3035: We only do T10 for a few reasons. The main reason is we manually enter the data for all of our "watched" teams. 9 divisions times 20 or so teams is way too much work. The other contributing factor is for now we feel that the T10 has an exclusive value to it.

Next year we are planning to have a live database of all teams in all 9 divisions, which will make ranking the T20 much easier. We'll see. I will consult people here to see what they think and keep you posted.

Still figuring out what we are going to do, my guess is it will be predictions, but no live scoring (it's hard for us to be everywhere on top of that be in Fargo for the Squirt Tourney, too). On top of the predictions, we may pick some darkhorses and make some commentary after each day.

We are at the mercy of MN Hockey on the scoring, can't wait to see how timely they are. Last year, I thought it was not so good.
