A team in B1 Tournament
Our team is heading to Breezy Point next week to play in their Pee Wee B1 tournament. Hudson has its Pee Wee A team, which has been beating up on MN B1 teams, registered to play in the tournament. Is this normal?

Yeah, sounds normal.
They have about 6 or 7 levels,
4A, 3A, 2A, 1A
and B and C levels

Let's be a little fair here guys. Hudson is in WI but last I remember Hudson and Superior both "think" they are part of MN hockey, to the degree that they follow MN hockey rules, cutoff dates and even participate in MN Youth Hockey leagues, districts and playoffs. WI youth hockey does do things a litle differently than MN Youth Hockey, admittedly so, but the Hudson and Superior border towns aren't part of that historically.
Totally agreed. However, generally those are "weaker" programs...or less developed. In time they end up having it handed to them.Cdale wrote:Some MN associations pull similar stunt. IE- they have no A team and play as a "B-1" team. Beat up on everyone and congratulate themselves on how awesome they are at 32-0.
This is a primary reason that some programs who are well established, but are in a few lean years as far as player numbers go decide to have only an A team at a given level. They feel that they want to continue to move forward as a program. In the end, playing only B hockey doesn't do anyone any favors.
