The Great One #99 comes to mind ... but then again he's the only one who wasted his talents in the NHL.old goalie85 wrote:To many for me to count.

Don't forget Nicholas Remus, Alex Romulus twin brother. Remus and Romulus were conceived by either the god Mars or the demi-god Hercules. When the twins were born, they were left to die, but they were saved by a series of miraculous interventions by Lord Stanley and the Great One himself. A hockey coach of legendary stature, Wolfie, and his wife, She-Wolf, fostered Romulus and Remus and raised them to lead the Wolfpack hockey club. The twins have proven that they have supernatural hockey skills. (See the post about Romulus' stats on the "top 5 peewee A players" thread; Remus is even better, he is playing in the NHL at the age of 12.) Remus and Romulus are recognized for their leadership on and off the ice. They are superior to any mere mortal who has ever played the game.
Although only 12 years old, they have jointly built the Wolfpack into the premier hockey program in the World, exceeding any association, AAA program, high school program, and any team to ever come out of Shattuck-St. Mary's, Notre Dame in Saskatchewan, Culvers Academy, or any any of the East Coast prep programs. In a separate thread some posters have chosen to engage in self promotion and post their kids' names, their names, or their friends' names as the top bantams in the state. Notwithstanding that the various posts ignore the top players on the Shattuck-St. Mary's Bantam Tier One team, the posters disregard the undisputed fact that 12-year old twins, Remus and Romulus, are better than any bantam or high school player in the history of the game, including any current players.
I am not related to Remus and Romulus, nor do I know them personally, but I do know they are preeminent among the feral ice hockey players of the Wolfpack and ancient hockey mythography. The legend of Remus and Romulus encapsulates Lord Stanley's, the Great One's, and Wolfie's ideas of Wolfpack hockey and youth hockey, and the game's origins and moral values.
Long story short: Remus and Romulus are gods among boys and men when it comes to their hockey talents. They were born, not made. God favored them and gave them the skills he did not give you or your kids. Where does that leave us and our kids? The sooner we realize that our kids cannot come close to these Wolfpack prodigy, the sooner we can relax and enjoy the game. My kid is not good enough to catch Remus or Romulus on a breakout, but when my son comes off the ice with a smile on his face and tells me "I love this game" I know I am blessed--and I'm willing to write more checks so that he can live his dream.
