Tryouts

Post by Silent But Deadly »

Buffalo is expected to have 23 skaters and 2 goalies trying out for JV & Varsity....which is typical for the Bison numbers wise. Buffalo is fielding 2 U14 teams.

Will any programs actually have to cut kids?

Edina always cuts kids, so does Eden Prairie.

Alot of programs will be cutting players, really not that unusual for the bigger metro area teams.

I would think that Buffalo is the exception rather than the rule for schools that can't be classified as one of the larger programs. Having two 14U teams with that few players on the high school teams has got to be fairly unique. Our tryouts just ended and we have 31 skaters and 3 goalies between V and JV. Of those, 11 skaters and all 3 goalies are 14U eligible. For us, the few 14U eligible girls who either didn't try out or were cut will be rainbowing with another association.
