Question: Why no 2000 group? Tons of talent up there in D10. Honestly, some one could put together a team to rival every '00 team outside of the "elites." Hell, may even give them a run for their money.

Didn't I read in your web site a while back that this was by invitation only? I know it's competitive out there. Lots and lots of AAA teams. What made MG abandon the invitation only policy?

Also, are the fees and ice time similar next year as they were this year? No criticism from me. Very generous hours for the money.

Never heard it was an invitation only team, heard it was a quality program like Blades or Machine that, unlike those guys, rebuilds each year via tryouts. I picked up a brochure and a one-sheeter at the Super Rink during the Summer Finale, so they're obviously serious about a full open tryout at all levels (interestingly, just the younger ages--maybe more longterm developmental commitment to older teams?). The one sheeter confirmed your question -- 80 hours of ice for around $1200.

FWIW, our team played Miracle "Black" in the Finale and they had quite a few ringers from the "Gold" team -- they won the tourney handily at 01 level, only competition coming from a Canadian selects team in the ship. Nice team.

My point is they seem to follow the Machine model of running two teams, one more like a JV that can be stocked with V players and vice-versa. That's just the impression I get. Planning to talk to the coach or director sometime before tryouts to get the 411 straight from the horse's mouth.

The "Black" team this weekend was the "Gold" team. It was almost all the same kids that played at the invite level earlier this summer.

I don't think I'd put them at the same level as the Machine O/Blades, but they're competitive with the other invite teams.

We're all DYING to know who made the squad after the intensive tryout process? Where can we see the rosters?

After a fair and unbiased look at your child, we have decided that he is NOT on the team.

Sorry. Thanks for the money though. Used it to detail my truck.
